After a few minutes, the iris of my eyes started to return to its natural color, and the pain in my head and eyes began to fade.
I laid my body on the bed as if I had surrendered in the middle of an endless battle, my mind filled with infinite thoughts that had no answers.
But I decided to set everything aside and take a nap to calm my anxiety a little, as I hadn't rested my body for days.
I fell into a deep sleep, but this time I didn't see my beloved mother as I was used to seeing her in all my dreams.
This time, I saw myself bound with chains on my hands and feet, staring at someone standing in front of me. My eyes were red like blood, and my face bore the features of eternal misery—it was a terrifying nightmare.
I couldn't bear what I was seeing in the dream and tried desperately to wake up from this cursed nightmare, but it was like a whirlpool that never ended.
My body was drenched in sweat, and I was completely tense. I started moving my head from side to side, trying to wake up, but all attempts were in vain.
I began hearing a man's voice calling me regularly:
"Adam, Adam, you must wake up now. It's time."
"Adam, Adam, you must wake up now. You must respond to my voice immediately."
As soon as I heard this voice, I slowly started opening my eyes.
I saw a man leaning his head directly toward my face. My vision was blurry at first, but his facial features gradually became clear.
Wide green eyes stared at me terrifyingly—it was the cursed Takumi.
When I saw him, I felt extreme panic, but my body moved very slowly, as if I were semi-numb.
He smiled a frightening smile and started speaking to me:
"Did you rest well in your sleep? You've been asleep for a day and a half. It seems you rested a lot in this room, but I hope you read some of the book I brought you before your sleep."
I was very surprised by what he said. How had I slept for a day and a half like that while I thought it was just a short nap?
Something unnatural had happened to my body—I was certain of that.
Fear and terror were written all over my face, but I just listened to what he was saying without uttering a single word.
Two men entered the room wearing gray medical coats and masks, like the man who had brought me the book two days ago. This time, however, the color of their eyes caught my attention—they were the same gray color. I wondered to myself what the story was behind these strange eyes. Was it a symbol of something or what???
They stood by the door, as if waiting for certain orders to execute.
Doctor Takumi turned to them and said:
"Come on, take him. It's time."
The men replied:
"Yes, sir."
They walked toward me with synchronized steps, like evil robots.
They grabbed me, one holding my right hand and the other my left. My body was weak and heavy; I couldn't resist. My body felt frail, and my head hung low from the immense weight I felt.
They started walking me out of the room, but before leaving, Doctor Takumi leaned close to my head and spoke in a low voice:
"Welcome, my student. Today, you will start your first lecture in your university major. We'll all have some fun."
Then he moved away and smiled at me—a sly smile full of mischief—as the two men continued escorting me out of the room.
Outside, they had prepared a wheelchair for me. One man pulled the chair while the other walked beside us, and we continued to a place I knew nothing about.
I only watched silently, as the pain began returning to my body, increasing gradually.
I truly felt paralyzed all over.
The place was a maze. All the rooms, corridors, and alleys looked the same. I didn't know whether it was a hospital, a castle, or even a cursed university. What I was certain of at that moment was that it was a place with no beginning or end. It was impossible to escape because I would eventually get lost, be captured, and I didn't know what fate awaited me, especially since I had tried to escape before.
The fog returned to my eyes, and I could no longer see clearly. The pressure on my head intensified, and I began to lose consciousness again until I completely fainted.
The nightmare I had experienced last time returned—it was suffocating. It held my breath, and I felt as if my heart would completely stop.
But someone threw a bucket of freezing water on my face, waking me from that nightmare.
I gasped loudly and shivered violently because of the cold and the harsh way it was applied while I was unconscious.
When I opened my eyes, I saw Doctor Takumi sitting in front of me on a wooden chair, his legs crossed, hands in his pockets, with the two men who had brought me here on his right and left.
I looked around the room to see where I had been brought. It was a very large, spacious room, extremely cold, with all walls painted white and completely empty of any furniture.
Doctor Takumi put his hand on his mouth and laughed a hysterical, terrifying laugh, as if seeing fear and terror in my eyes was a kind of art, game, and endless pleasure.
When he finished laughing, he fixed his gaze on me, looking into my eyes sharply. Then he checked the watch on his right hand and gave orders to the two men:
"It's time to give the first lecture. Bring the equipment so I can start the explanation."
