Li ran a few steps and realized something was wrong. Her short legs couldn't create enough distance, and she'd be caught by the enemy in less than three seconds.
"Li, we can't escape. We're going to be chased down to our deaths."
Lilith gripped her neck with one hand, blood seeping through her fingers. The pain was so intense she was almost numb, and the energy of the Blue Steel Shadow was making half her body feel paralyzed.
Li stopped in her tracks as a long knife came slashing towards her.

Li extended her hands forward, and a dozen transparent barriers appeared before her.
Su Xiao gripped his sword with both hands, slashing down with all his might.
Crack. Crack. Crack...
The cleave landed, shattering the dozen transparent barriers as if they were made of paper.
Ping!
Dragon Slash halted before the final transparent barrier.
With a crack, a large web of cracks appeared on the transparent barrier, causing Li to shiver as she took a few steps back.
