Chapter 7 - 7: Right Here!? Right Now?!

Zoro sighed as he walked throughout the city. He was still looking for the pharmacy, but to him it seemed like the buildings were moving, intentionally avoiding his gaze. Suddenly, a hand gripped Zoro's shoulder. He quickly whipped around to see an old man, his silver hair brushing past his shoulders and his sapphire blue eyes staring at him.

"Rehehe! You look lost." The old man cackled.

Zoro swatted the old man's hand away and shouted. "I'm not lost! And who even are you?!"

"Rehehe! I'm just an old man whose decided to help a youngster." He laughed and held up a slip of paper.

Zoro looked slightly confused at the man's action, until he read what was written on it. His eyes widened as he quickly reached into his pocket, only to find that Orion's list was no longer there. He quickly snatched his list back and began to walk away, but the old man grabbed him again. "You can be as annoyed as you want, but just face the fact that you're lost." The old man gave him an empathetic look as he slowly shook his head.

"And how do you know I'm lost?" Zoro asked sarcastically.

The old man, without a word, pointed behind Zoro. Zoro turned back to where the man was pointing, and his breath hitched in metaphorical pain as he now stared down the very pharmacy that eluded him for so long.

With a deep seated embarrassment, Zoro sighed and finally gave in, letting the old man lead him around town.

After a while, they had finally gotten most of the items from the list. As the two of them walked through the town with a multitude of bags, Zoro had gotten a closer look at the old man...well, at the old mans waist at least. Because he had finally noticed that strapped to the old mans waist were twin swords.

'They're too curved to be a Katana or a Cutlass.' Zoro thought to himself as he eyed the mans blades. He couldn't tell much with them sheathed.

"They're a pair of Scimitar." The old man spoke nonchalantly, as if reading his mind. Zoro's eyes widened, 'how did he.....'

"You were staring pretty hard." The old man spoke again, answering Zoro's unasked question. Much to his embarrassment.

He then placed his hand on one of his swords and began to speak. "This one's 'Solomon'." Its radiant silver guard unfurled over the hilt like flower petals, while part of it continued to extend past the grip and connect to the round pommel. The deep-blue leather grip glowed faintly. Moving downward to the Scabbard, it seemed to be made of a deep blue wood while three silver bands encircled it, ending in a swirling, flame-shaped tip.

He then moved his hand over slightly, to cover his second blade. "And this one's 'Caesar'." 'Caesar' was pretty much the polar opposite to 'Solomon'. Its hilt was a radiant gold color instead of 'Solomon's' silver. The guard wrapped around and connected with its spike-crowned pommel. The grip was wrapped in a fiery red leather. Moving downward to the Scabbard, it was as red as the Hilt with three golden crowns wrapping around the Scabbard terminating in a golden crowned tip.

"Rehehe! Looks like we made it." The old man pulled Zoro from his thoughts as he spoke. Zoro looked up and in front of them was....nothing. Surrounded by nothing but tree's, seemingly in the middle of nowhere.

"Where are we?" Zoro asked, but he got no response. Zoro opened his mouth to speak once more, but the old man suddenly aimed 'Solomon' at Zoro's throat.

Zoro dropped the bags he was carrying. "What are you doing!" Zoro exclaimed as he stepped forward. "You can't just-!" He cut himself off and ducked, barely dodging the old man's slash.

Zoro quickly disregarded his shock and gripped his Katana's, quickly drawing them into an upward slash. The old man leaned back, dodging Zoro's attack. But with Zoro's arms already above his head, it was easier for him to launch his next attack. Zoro seamlessly turned his hands, and slashed downward. "Two Sword Style: Hunt!" He shouted.

But his blades didn't go far as the old man intercepted his attack. They were locked in a clash, but the old man flawlessly overpowered Zoro and he didn't stop there, he slashed at Zoro's swords causing his arms to fly backward. He then brought his right hand, which was holding 'Solomon', to his left hip. He bent his knees slightly and braced himself. "One Sword Style: Disconnect....." The old man's aura changed in that moment and a chill ran down Zoro's spine, he hastily brought his swords down to block the attack, but it was of no use. A savage arc of silver tore through the air at an untraceable speed, shattering one of Zoro's swords while sending the other flying. Zoro, on the other hand, was launched into a tree stump a few meters away.

Zoro's eyes shot open, he had lost consciousness for a few seconds. He turned and looked behind only for his eyes to widen, every tree in the next few thousand meters had been sliced cleanly in half. He turned toward the old man, only for him to smile as he had already sheathed his sword. "Rehehehe! Nice skills, young man." The old man mused gleefully.

Zoro's agape mouth quickly shut as he snarled at the old man. "Nice skills!? You attack someone out of nowhere, and your only words are NICE SKILLS?!"

The old man simply waved Zoro off as if he was overreacting. "Suck it up, we still have work to do." The old man tossed Zoro the bags he had dropped earlier and began walking once again.

To Be Continued....

I have returned. I honestly just write whenever I feel like it, but I've realized that it's unfair for you readers if I do that, so now I made a schedule of sorts. Every week (Before every Wednesday) I plan to post at least 1 chapter. It might not be a chapter on a story you want to read, so I apologize in advance in case that happens. But sometimes, I'll post more than 1 chapter. Might be multiple on one story or 1 on multiple stories.

That's all for now, see ya!
