"I need to talk to you," Zahra scowled, gripping Yuden's arm and leading him away from the corner of the canopy shelter.
Zahra pulled him into a dimly lit corner of the vast garden as they descended a few stairs.
Though surrounded by darkness, Zahra felt more at ease in the open air than in cramped spaces. That was what she feared; a suffocating space with no sight of light.
"Princess?" Yuden's puzzled expression deepened as Zahra's strange demeanour caught his attention.
"What?" Zahra's tone was filled with irritation as she let Yuden's hand slip from her grip.
"Why are you behaving in such an odd manner?" Yuden asked, confusion evident in his voice.
"Odd manners?! Really? You..." Zahra paused, her lips trembling with unspoken frustration. "You kiss me, and then you don't contact me for days! What is this supposed to mean?! Are you really going to marry me or are you just having fun messing with me? I'm not one of your..." Zahra bit her lip, holding back her words.
