Chapter 5: Eliza
8:17 PM
Teresa and Jack arrive at a small bungalow in the middle of a housing estate.
"Are you not a member of the four great clans of the phoenix?"
"What are you trying to say".
"Someone of your calibre should not be living in a place like this".
"You're right. But, the thing is, the Za clan is bankrupt, for reasons I won't go into and the only reason we are still considered as one of the great clans of the phoenix is due to my strength alone".
That statement alone made shivers run down Jack spine, prompting him not to say a word till they both reached the door.
Teresa knocks on the door.
"Eliza I'm back!"
Then she looks at Jack, who was looking down with a disheartened expression.
"I know you're nervous, but don't worry Eliza's a nice girl. You could even call her a love intrest".
"I am not nervous, I just have something on my mind".
Then the door opens and a flat girl with pink curls and emerald green glasses, emerges from it.
"So you're finally back, Sis".
"Yeah".
Eliza glares at Teresa with an oblivious expression on her face.
"So you finally succumbed and brought in a servant".
Jack bashes Eliza's head.
"Don't you dare to speak to someone of my calibre like that".
Eliza pats her head and turns it towards her sister.
"Sis, this servant does not have manners. Let us burn him alive".
"I am not a SERVANT!!"
Jack attempts to bash Eliza's head.
But his arm is easily stopped by... Eliza.
"Don't think you can land the same attack on me twice".
Teresa reaches into one of the bags she had kept on the sofa, earlier and pulls out a box of ice cream.
"Look I bought your favourite... Vanilla flavoured ice cream".
"I want this, but...".
Eliza just wanted to spend some time with her sister Teresa who was rarely at home, due to the missions she partook in".
Teresa stretches her arm around Jack who was standing next to her and presses him to her body.
"Jack here is going to be your husband."
Jack and Eliza both look at Teresa with a baffled expression on thier faces.
"Don't be joking like that."
"Yeah, you're going to get married to my sister. When you two get married, the Za clan will finally be able to rise to it's former glory".
Teresa smiles with a devious grin.
"I'm rooting for the both of you, or is she not your type? Do you like bustier girls?"
"Stop it, Sis. Don't just say that type ".
Eliza starts blushing and tries to close Teresa's mouth shut with her hand and Teresa struggles to get Eliza's hand from her mouth.
"Hmm".
Then Jack walks out of the living room as the sisters mingle with eachother.
"Wait!?".
Eliza grabs Jack's arm.
"A-aren't you going to m- marry me".
Eliza's face turns red, then, she let's go of Jack's arm and runs away.
Jack looks at Eliza, perplexed as she runs into a room. Then, he continues to walk outside.
"Don't you want to be the strongest?"
"I will still train under you, but I cannot stay here and be ridiculed by that girl. She was just belittling me a few minutes ago and now she's doing... That".
"That marriage stuff was just a Joke. It was a ruse to give her hope since she's been so lonely. Even though that would be very helpful to the Za clan".
"Since, she feels so lonely, shouldn't she go out and make some friends".
"Well she is on house arrest... because she nearly killed one of her classmates in an exam."
Jack looks at Teresa, confused as to why she wanted to put him in the same house with an attempted murderer.
"So do you want me to die or what?"
"Trust me she wouldn't try to kill you."
"I can't take any chances."
"Eliza isn't really a dangerous person, though she can be blood thirsty at times, but I believe you can both be friends."
Then Jack grips the door knob.
"By the way, I am not interested. When I come back tomorrow morning, we start the training."
Then Teresa bashes Jack's head with her fist.
"You aren't going anywhere".
