Sighing deeply Sharon started to talk....
"Let me introduce myself properly. I am Sharon Cladwell. Daughter of the current ruler and the King Brandon Cladwell and Queen Feye Cladwell. Youngest heir to the Aurora Kingdom. I have 3 elder brothers. Although we have army and generals capable of handling the expected Mountain Troll situation, it will definitely cause a lot of blood shed and loss of tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of innocent lives.
Me and all my brothere are travelling around the kingdom since these past few weeks to find and convince or recruit any help we can to minimize civilian life loss. We had heard about a few who had history of facing Mountain Troll alone or more than one troll as a group and survive to tell the tales.
I hope atleast my brothers might have better dealings with the ones they were planning to meet."
After drinking a glass of water and taking a deep breath, the Princess continued again.
"The sighting of the Mountain Troll were brought to our notice a few weeks ago and by the way they are behaving and the route they were taking, it is confirmed that they are heading towards the Capital. Fortunately, the capital is situated at the edge of the ancient Evergreen Forest. Which also acts as a shield to the entire kingdom against any beast attacks. The Troll's need to pass through the forest and need to take down the Capital if it had to progress further to other town or cities.
In fact our capital is always a place of battle. Especially against wild beasts. As long as the Capital stands, the Kingdom stands. We had somewhat peacefull time for past few decades. Except for a few spirit beast attack, there were no significant events of noteworthy."
"After almost 40 years, we are now facing one of the biggest threat the Kingdom had ever faced." Sharon sighed sadly, with a dejected expression.
" How many Troll's are moving towards the Capital? Who noticed it first? How can the time of the Troll entering the Capital be so precisely predicted?" Alan asked.
"We have rangers monitoring the forest and there are bird tamers who can observe and understand activities happening deep inside the forest and on the mountain range without taking major risks. That's how we came to know about the Troll's. And from that point we have kept constant eye on their activity." Sharon said with certainty.
"Alright then, we can rule out any internal scheming. How many Troll's were seen?" Ben asked.
"Our scouting birds had noticed around 15 Troll's. However, due to the thick cover and the dense forest blanketing, we can assume there might be around 20." Sharon said.
"Al, can we assume that, there will be 40 of them?" Ben asked Alan who nodded seemingly in deep thought.
"What...!!!!! 40 Mountain Trolls? It's highly impossible. If that is true then there is no way we can avoid the bloodshed. We might even loose tens of thousands of lives." The guard captain stood up in shock and looked pale.
"Definately more than 3 dozens if they are wild Mountain Troll's. However if they are under anyone's control then we can expect less than 18 of them. Have you noticed any human activity around the Troll's?" Alan said with certainty.
"No, there are no human activities around them. We are certain about it. But, how can you be certain about their count to be around 40?" Sharon asked curiously.
