Chapter 3 - What the Devil!?

Omega's head hurt. Her whole body hurt. And the fact that that Prince, or whatever he was- decided to use her as a door jam didn't help all that much. Who was she kidding. This sucked!

Omega shifted her sore body up the side of the door, which was very difficult, the shackles on her body were so tight that her shoulder was still dislocated, and leaned her ear on it, hoping to get some sort of info on where in Diablos' name she was.

As she listened in, she heard someone complaining. It wasn't that Prince Nathan guy, that was for sure. He sounded more or less grumpy, wanting to prove something. This was more of a sniveling, entitled horse turd kind of voice.

"Nathan should be further punished instead of just having a stern talking to!" She heard the voice say. "Why does he never get punished? Is it destiny that I am the only one getting punished?"

Oh, yeah. This guy was spoiled to the M.A.X.

Omega slipped, the chains making a scraping sound. She cringed as she heard the footsteps- and the stuck up grumbling- come to an abrupt stop in front of the door.

Omega tensed, her heart beating incredibly fast. She wished she could clasp her hand to her mouth, but the chains stayed put, her ragged, feral breathing from her being so wild was a little bit obvious.

"Oh, fu-!"

Those were the last words she managed to whisper before the door opened.

{-}

Unless he was angry, Prince Griffith was normally very careful with his word choices, but right now, no physically comprehensible words would leave his lips. This go around, it was more like a- "Guh, g-guh, duh, d-d-d-du- EEEK!"

His mind raced, billions and billions of different questions flowed through his head.

What the- why is there a demon in here...!? Why does Nathan have a demon in his room!? Nathan... what have you been...!?

"Hey, buddy."

The slightly raspy, high pitched female voice caught his attention. His eyes widened in fear at the horrifying creature that lay on the floor at his feet which had just spoke the human language.

"What are you just standing around gapin' at me for! Help a demon up!"

But Griffith would do no such thing. He stepped into the room and closed the door behind him. "Who- who are you?" Griffith uttered. "I... um... I Dunno." came the reply.

"How did you get in here?"

"Ask whoever that guy was... wazzhisname, Nathan? I think? Yeah, him. Ask that guy."

So it was Nathan! Griffith's anger was starting to get the better of him. Then, the Demon spoke again.

"Say, you wouldn't happen to know how to break out of chains now, would ya?"

"What the-" Griffith was astounded at this thing's lack of respect for authority. He gained composure. "Yeah, and what if I do?"

The demon looked up at him with eyes that, if they weren't so terrifyingly evil, would have looked pouty and pleading. "Say I were to, like give you whatever ya wanted, could ya break me outa these things?" with that slight rasp to her voice, it almost sounded... seductive.

He pondered its words for a moment then eyed the Demon again, her body was small and pretty frail looking. If she was one of those Wilderness demons... his eye twitched, and he raised his left brow. "Anything?" He asked.

She looked up at him. From it's position, the demon really couldn't do anything. in his mind, Griffith was thinking hard. finally, he pulled out a knife from his belt.

He knelt next to the creature. "So..." he said. "it's a Binding Vow then, I take it?"

The demon looked up at him, it's eyes thinking of nothing but freedom from it's bindings. "And if I say yes?" it asked.

The prince raised the knife. The demon winced as he slid the blade slowly across it's forearm, and then across the palm of his own hand. He leaned down, grabing her arm with the cut hand, their blood fusing together in an inseparable bond. His voice fell to a quiet whisper in the demon's ear.

"Too late, you already have."

As the Demon slowly lost it's consciousness due to the fusion, Prince Griffith stuck the knife through the key hole in the chains, and released her.

"Good luck with Nathan." he whispered.

With a smile, he closed the door on the demon, listening to her quiet whimpers on the other side.
