Chapter 78 - Chapter 77 - City destroyed. Monsters evolution.

A day had passed, and we finally found a city. The big issue was that... My monsters started attacking. When we were a few kilometers away from the city, and I could see its wall, the monsters had already begun their assault.

I could see some smoke rising in the distance. After a few minutes, I even leveled up.

'Hiiro... My monsters are causing chaos.'

'Eehhh? I did notice the black smoke in the distance. Your monsters set the city on fire?'

'I don't know, I can't tell. It would be good if I could see through my familiars' eyes. It would be useful for spying and invading places.'

'Please, don't exaggerate!'

'Who knows, maybe God will give me what I want~~ They even gave me a map, so I found the city.'

'That's so unfair~~'

The map was floating in front of me now. And how did I get it? By editing one of my skills into something entirely new, not an existing skill.

I can create some skills.

And about this city. I don't know which one is this city, but we're in an area with smaller countries everywhere. It's a very extensive area next to the Renxandt Empire. I admit I'm afraid of attracting their attention.

But screw it. My monsters have already attacked.

'What do you want to do? Do you want to go there, or will you let the monsters attack alone?' Kumoko asked me. I stared at her for a few seconds and began to think about it more.

Hugo lives in Renxandt, so it's dangerous. He'll send everyone here if he finds out I'm next to the empire.

'I should have been more careful when choosing where to go.'

'Are you afraid that other dangerous humans will show up?'

'Yes, the boy who sent Ferdinand to me doesn't live far from here. We're very close to the Renxandt Empire, where he lives.'

'I see... Shouldn't we leave then?'

'We should, but now that we're already here, let's wait for the monsters to destroy the city.'

'What if there's someone strong? Your monsters will die, and your army will lose a lot of strength.'

'If my army is killed, I can return to the labyrinth. Or I can kill this city's guards and make them my subordinates... I was going to do that anyway.'

'And the children and women?'

'I didn't have time to talk to all the monsters about that; unfortunately, they must all be being killed now.'

'I understand...' Kumoko looked away. She didn't seem sad or surprised.

'I don't like killing children or women either. I may seem like a simp, but I find all this terrible.'

'Then why are you killing everyone?'

'Because I need to get stronger. Many strong people are in this world, much stronger than they should be. Things have changed, Hiiro... Everything has changed.'

'You speak as if you already know this whole world.'

'Well...'

'Are you a God by any chance? Don't tell me you've been by my side all this time to test me?! *gasp*' Kumoko backed away and looked at me suspiciously, but I just started laughing.

'Hahahaha, I'm not a God, but I hope one day I become one. A God as strong as that woman who almost killed me before. Do you remember her?'

'Woman... Oh, that woman. She contacted me once, you know? She said something strange... that I should stay by your side. Is she a cupid or something?'

'Cupid? That woman? No, of course not. She wants to have fun. She thinks the two of us together can be good entertainment for her.'

'I see, so she's a maniac!'

'Hahaha... Maybe.'

Change of POV

It was a peaceful afternoon when suddenly, something strange began happening in the small town near the elves' forest. Various monsters suddenly started to attack the wall surrounding the city.

The large gate was immediately closed, and the people outside were devoured by the monsters that advanced like an avalanche.

While some monsters devoured the bodies of men, women, and even small children, other monsters advanced toward the gate. Also, the spiders began using their legs to climb the wall.

The giant spiders carried smaller monsters towards the top.

Working together, spiders and monsters began invading the once-calm city. The guards panicked as they were unprepared for the sudden attack.

Before on the horizon, they couldn't see anything, but suddenly, monsters appeared at a frightening speed.

"Damn, what should we do?!" One of the guards near the gate asked.

"I don't know either! Where's the captain?! And the mages?! We must immediately set up a barrier before the city gate!"

"Damn, I don't want to die." The youngest guard said, tears streaming down his face.

And then.

AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

A scream occurred next to the guard, who was already crying in fear of death.

From above, a goblin fell over his friend, whose head was crushed. Soon after, his close friends were attacked while the boy cried in despair.

"Come on, Ethan, don't just stand there!" An older man called out and dragged him.

Ethan looked up and watched the rain of monsters coming over the wall.

The guards continued to fight, and the residents hid in their homes.

A few minutes later, the gate was destroyed, and the nearby guards were killed.

The houses began to be invaded, and in no time, blood bathed the entire city, and a grotesque smell took over. The monsters feasted on the flesh of the residents while smiling gleefully.

Those monsters were very conscious and knew what they were doing.

And among them, some monsters began their evolutions. Their eyes gleamed, and their bodies were altered.

Eliot's army had become even stronger.

I have up to chapter 82 written of this fanfic, but I don't really like the story. I feel like it's lost its way.

Besides, I don't remember much and I don't feel like reading it all to continue it.

If I rewrote it, would you read it?
