I'm pretty sure I was just imagining it since Gary did not say anything and just called the next group to start their run.
I flew over to where my girls were and I watched the next batch of test pilots accelerating into their route faster than the other two groups.
I guess the fact that I went all out in the first run flared their competitive spirit and they're now trying to one up me as well.
Well… It wasn't like I was trying to be the best here to begin with… I just thought I would try my best and that was it.
The next group of pilots were obviously faster but… For some reason, it still felt like they were holding back.
Then Gary called out the next group which included both Amber and Ries.
Amber immediately sped off and I watched her spin through the void and manoeuvre through her checkpoints easily before returning back to her starting point.
Peeking at the screen with all the other test pilots, I could see a few of them looking quite dissatisfied for some reason.
