Ning Anran responded with a sigh, then stepped inside.
As soon as she entered the bedroom, Ning Anran saw the old man lying on the bed, covered with a thick silk quilt.
His complexion appeared somewhat pale, and his spirits weren't very high.
Ning Anran hurried a few steps to the old man's bedside, reached out to hold his hand, and squatted down.
"Grandpa, how are you?"
Seeing Ning Anran's anxious look, the old man's heart warmed.
In a hoarse voice, he said, "Don't worry, Grandpa is fine. Before I make sure you're settled, Grandpa won't let anything happen to me."
Seeing him speak with such a lack of strength, Ning Anran looked somewhat dejected.
Her eyes felt wet, and she whispered, "Grandpa, don't worry about me anymore, focus on recovering your health first."
The old man was deeply moved, not expecting Ning Anran to be so concerned about him just after being reunited.
She would rather not have all that wealth and just hope his health would improve a bit.
