Buzz!
The blue lights in the room flickered.
"Aghhh!"
A groan of a city guard sounded from outside.
Shlick!
The sound of drawing a sword from a sheath sounded.
"Who is it? Show yourself!" The remaining guard shouted. The sword in his hand trembled as his gaze went to his friend, lying down on the ground, a deep hole in both his legs and abdomen. The screams filled the tunnels. Blood poured out. No matter how much he tried to resist looking, his gaze drifted to the dead body.
Swoosh!
A breeze blew in the tunnel.
The guard looked before him. A tall, slim figure stood before him, its body covered in shadows. One could see only the inhuman beak and the long, dark claws.
Bom!
The beast moved. In an instant, it appeared before the city guard.
Clang!
The sword fell out of the guard's hands. He felt his legs become weak.
The beast tilted its head.
Shluck!
With a swift motion, before the guard could collapse in fear, the beast sliced his abdomen.
Thud!
