Carina watched as the Demon put a hand on the place she strike, the wound closing in, and the woman let out a strangled breath, blood coming out of her mouth as she cough.
"Take her." She heard the Demon ordered. One of the Witch obeyed, taking the Witch who now given a second chance of life.
She did not move during the entire exchange, her limbs frozen in fear, her eyes stuck in the figure of the Demon.
Then, he turned towards her.
She thought she could never be as afraid as the time her husband and father-in-law returning in stretchers, as healers tried and failing to heal them. She thought wrong.
The hatred in the eyes of the Demon almost caused her to collapse, her legs barely able to support her own weight. At the same time, the air pressed on her, or so it felt, as she felt a terrible weight pressing down on her.
She did not know how long the Demon stared at her, except it felt like days, if not months, despite it being merely minutes, if not seconds.
