took Duke Phorus longer than it should to realize he was not in a dream. The first sign being the forceful feeding of the potion.
He could feel the potion going down his throat, before it cause his body to be tingling. A sign the effect spread all over his body.
The second sign being how he could not control it. Sure, the Witch might cause Spells to make him feel like everything is real, and make him see his worse nightmare.
It would have been a possibility except he managed to let a small burst of Mana over his body. Doing so would disperse even the strongest of Illusion Spell. Even if it remained, he could push back the effect well enough.
And so, once coming into the revelation that what he was seeing are not Illusion Spell, he roared in anguish.
"Aaaghhhhh!" he tried to bash his head on the floor, hoping to injure him enough to not be forced to see what was happening.
