One month.
That's what it took for Adam to get back to full strength. Well, only physically. Psychologically, he was still insane. Perhaps even more so now.
Using his right hand, he retrieved a strip of smoked wolf meat from inside the mimic, then slowly brought it to his mouth and chewed on it.
"Hmm, not bad." He nodded.
He then looked over his shoulder and added, "No, I'm not talking about the meat. I'm talking about my hand. It moves around pretty well now, eh?"
Of course, no one was there.
The mimic turned in the direction the youth was speaking in, then tilted its body in confusion.
"Gege…"
Adam clenched and unclenched his right hand several times, feeling faint pressure towards the end. His lips curled into a brilliant smile, and he said:
"It's still not good enough in a fight, but at least I'm good to carve runes now."
Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps coming from behind him. He did not react, however. For he knew who it was.
