"What do you mean? You want us to return at night?" Clovis raised his eyebrows. His original intention was to go back right away so as to avoid any kind of trouble. He wanted to reach Absalom safely after all.
Yet, surprisingly, Maya came here to suggest otherwise.
"Going back tonight will give the Anatas family time to prepare. They might even hire mercenaries to ambush us. Most likely, they're planning to do it around the border or even when we have entered another country to make it look like they're not the culprit." Melody couldn't believe what Maya was suggesting.
Clovis, on the other hand, finally noticed her true intention. "You want us to be the bait?"
"Yes, Young Master." Maya nodded with a solemn expression.
"!!!" The rest of the group didn't expect this suggestion.
"What we will be facing won't just be normal people, you know that, right? I don't even know how many Tier 7 and Tier 8 humans will be coming for us." Clovis squinted his eyes.
