Ryzel is really happy knowing that Layton wanted him to like him even more.
"Why wait for a year? Can't I ask you every day from now on?"
"No. It's better to ask me after a year because the result would be more obvious, which is better than when you are going to ask about it every day."
Just like in most research, it's better to gather more data so that the result would be more observable than just the daily observation.
If Layton had to ask about it every day, Ryzel wouldn't be sure if he could really give a precise answer, so it's better to just wait for a year.
