Tessa or Tess as she preferred being called, took them to the biggest building in the whole of Star City, were leaders of the City held meetings concerning the affairs of the City. Mikayla already, parted ways with them saying that she had something important to do.
She took it them to the grand city hall were the meetings concerning the affairs of the city was held. It was a hall that could contain up to fifty people and in the middle of the room was a huge round table around ten meters radius.
At the table five people already sat there waiting for her.
"You definitely took your time." A man said slightly angry.
"You know you can't keep coming to the meetings late." A lady said.
There were we're three men and two ladies sitting at the table and about seven sits were still empty.
The first man who's name was
"Who are these people you have brought here, Tessa?" A man asked.
"Calm down, Ben. I'll explain it all." She said.
She ten turned to Lloyd and his friends "Please have a sit." She said.
They filled some of the empty chairs, while they received continuous gaze from the board members.
"Well are you gonna start talking Tessa?" A lady asked.
"The reason I brought them here, was because we will need their help to solve our current problem." She answered.
"And do you think they're capable enough." A man said.
The man who just spoke was Benjamin, he was eighty four years old, and was the chief blacksmith of the city. He was in charge of weapons distribution, sales, trades and creation of weapon. Although he was very old, he had the build of a body builder on steroids; he was extremely muscular and for his appearance, he was bald with a wrinkled face, he also had long white beard.
"Sorry for interrupting but, what problem are you guys talking about?" Ace asked.
"So, you haven't told them?" A lady said in an irritated tone.
Her name was Edith, and she was thirty nine years old. She was in charge of Exploration and Hunting Affairs of the city. She had brownish red long hair, black eyes with her hair covering one of her eyes and a curved face. She had two bumps, which were comparable to melons on her chest which looked like they were going to pop out.
The next man sitting beside her was Duke and was forty one years old, he was in charge of the security aspect of the city. He has black hair, with black Mexican mustache, black laid back hair with a clefted face and brown eyes.
The person sitting opposite Duke, was Paul who was in charge of the Agricultural aspect of the city, and thanks to his class, it made everything much better and easier for him. He had brown eyes, rough brown hair a pointed nose and a long round face. He was in his mid thirties.
And the last person, was Annie the deputy head of the city. Whenever Tessa was out, she the one calling the shots. She had short purple hair, pink eyes and a childish face. Although she was twenty eight years old, she looks like a twelve years old kid.
"We've been having some problems recently." Tessa said.
"Problems like what?" Lloyd asked.
He was now in a much calmer state than before and was now back to his normal self.
"Lately, members of our Exploration Team have been getting ambush, why some are even dead. Upon, further investigation we found out that a small settlement of goblins and hobgoblins had been set there." Edith said.
"So why don't you just attack them, with your forces? You seem to have a pretty big one." Ace said.
"We already tried that, but thirty percent of them ended up dying and some wounded for life." Tessa said.
Then she turned to Lloyd, "I don't know about your friends, but I know your strong to be able to defeat Joe If your friend are as strong as you are then, we might have a chance." Tessa said.
Edith was quite shocked to hear that one of her strongest Warriors was defeated by him.
"What's in it for us, if we decided to help you?" Ace asked. "You don't expect us to go risking our lives for nothing now, do you?"
"One hundred thousand coins, will be given to you if we are able to complete the mission but you are not allowed to take anything from the settlement, it all belongs to Star City." Tessa said.
"That's absurd." Zeke finally spoke.
"Calm down Zeke." Lloyd said. "How about this. If we succeed, you pay us eighty thousand coins and we each get take a single item of whatever we want."
Ace was impressed with Lloyd's decision, because it would be a big advantage to them.
"That's preposterous, you come into our city, we shelter you then you think you can start making demands." Duke shouted slamming his fist on the table.
"Edith what do you think?" Tessa asked.
"Duke does have a point, but this mission is of the utmost importance so I said we agree to their terms." Edith said sitting crossed legs and arms.
"Ben."
"Edith is right." The old man said.
"Paul, what do you think?" Tessa asked.
"I agree with Ben and Edith." Paul said.
"Then I'll assume you all agree with their terms?" Tessa asked the rest of the council.
Every one except, Duke agreed to the terms of Lloyd and even Tessa her self did.
"Now that we have arrived at a unanimous decision. We need to come up with a strategy to defeat the goblins." Tessa said.
"Sorry for interrupting. I'd like to know the estimated number of monsters that are at the settlement." Ace said.
"It should probably be around a hundred and eighty goblins." Edith answered.
"And if you want to rank their strength in levels, what level do you think they're at?" Ace asked.
"The goblins should be at level one, the hobgoblins should be around five to six and the chief is the strongest. He might be around level fourteen to sixteen." Edith said.
