The retraction of everything in the Mirage Realm is a process of drawing near to the new ruler and connecting to them. Once this process is completed, signifying the end of the Water Monarch Ascension ceremony, the Mirage Realm will hand everything over to the new ruler, and it will begin to reconnect with the present world.
