Just one intense battle and being offline for three days is enough for the newbies to immediately get a set of gear with stats between veteran and commander level.
With the current constantly increasing intensity of battles, based on my mathematical model, in about a week, the intensity at the front line will rise to a point where newbies below Black Iron level won't be able to participate at all.
Therefore, I believe this is the only way to quickly arm the newbies right now!
