The lord's castle in Westerburg had long since collapsed, just like the city itself which had turned to ruins. It was the last memorial left on this land from the war over two years ago, and a symbol of the hatred between Transylvania and the Goldenrod Kingdom.
As long as the ruins of Westerburg remained, no Transia person would ever consider living in peace with the Goldenrod Kingdom.
If anyone dared to shout on the streets that the Goldenrod People were their friends, they'd most likely not live to see the end of the night in this fiercely protective community.
In many instances, hatred can also become a form of "political correctness."
When Murphy became the Governor, Milian and Professor Malcolm reminded him to be cautious in dealing with the Goldenrod People. Though their intent was to prevent Murphy from being overwhelmed by hatred, Murphy always had his own views on such matters.
