Later that day...
Maelis and Kelvin were seen chatting, both laughing and enjoying each other's company. Dave had long excused them, allowing them to share their moment together, since he understood how long it had been since Kelvin last saw her. He didn't mind much—after all, Maelis was Kelvin's only childhood friend.
But every sly, touchy gesture Maelis made didn't escape Dave's sharp eyes. He grew angrier with each passing second. She had been leaning into Kelvin, brushing her body against him, pressing her chest to his arm, even pecking him here and there. And Kelvin, foolishly oblivious, didn't notice a thing.
From the stairs, Dave leaned against the railing, watching closely. He caught every glance Maelis threw at him, and he understood her intentions perfectly.
He clenched his jaw. She hasn't even spent up to a day here, and she's already doing all this? God, who does that? Is she really that starved for affection?
"I'll show you who really has the power here," he muttered, turning away and heading to Kelvin's room.
Inside, Dave pulled out his phone and dialed Kelvin's number. Kelvin answered on the first ring.
"Hello, baby. You need something?" Kelvin's voice carried its usual warmth.
"Nah, I just need a massage. My leg feels numb," Dave replied, putting on a soft baby voice with a little pout.
"Really? Sorry, dear—I'll be right there." Kelvin immediately rose from the couch, leaving Maelis' side.
"What's wrong? Where are you going?" Maelis asked, frowning.
"Nothing is wrong. I'll be back soon, I need to attend to something important," Kelvin said as he walked upstairs.
As soon as he turned his back, Maelis' eyes darkened.
That boy thinks he's smart? I'll deal with him, she fumed.
When Kelvin entered the room, Dave was lying belly-down on the bed, scrolling through his phone with his legs swaying back and forth playfully. Kelvin smiled as he approached.
"What are you doing, darling?" he asked, sitting beside him and cuddling close, planting a kiss on Dave's cheek.
"Oh, nothing—just scrolling," Dave replied, turning his head to peck his lips.
"You said your legs feel numb. Did you stress yourself?" Kelvin asked as he gently massaged Dave's shoulders.
"I don't even know. I just don't feel comfortable," Dave murmured. Kelvin lifted his legs onto his lap and began to massage them carefully.
Outside the door, Maelis leaned against the wall, listening closely.
"That bastard. I know exactly what he's doing. Keep it up, Dave. It'll end very soon," she whispered enviously.
Dave, noticing her shadow beneath the door, rolled his eyes. Really? Shameless enough to eavesdrop? Don't worry, I'll give you something worth hearing.
"Kelvin…" Dave called softly, slipping his legs off Kelvin's lap and moving closer.
"What is it, baby?" Kelvin asked. But Dave only leaned in, kissing his neck gently and trailing his tongue upward to his ear, giving it a soft lick.
"Dave… Maelis is waiting downstairs," Kelvin whispered, though his voice wavered.
"Maelis can wait. This is more important," Dave murmured with a smile, kissing his lips before sliding his hand downward.
What the hell? So I'm not important? This is driving me crazy. I'll make sure to teach you a lesson, Dave, Maelis thought angrily.
"Dave, wait—ah, fuck…" He groaned when Dave cupped his dick in his hand massaging it firmly.
Dave smirked. "Okay, fine. You don't want me, I'll just go." He shifted to leave, but Kelvin grabbed his wrist, pulling him back onto the bed.
"Where do you think you're going?" Kelvin asked, pinning him down.
"You don't want me. Do you expect me to just sit and wait?" Dave replied, looking away.
Kelvin kissed his cheek. "No, baby. Why would I ever not want you? You're my life now."
"Then Maelis can wait," Kelvin whispered before kissing him deeply.
Dave smiled against his lips. Did you hear that, Maelis? If you knew Kelvin, you'd know he never jokes with me. Yes—you can wait.
Maelis, listening outside, trembled with fury. "What the hell? Even Kelvin said I can wait!" she hissed before storming downstairs, already plotting. But little did she know, the two she wanted to tear apart were like a snail and its shell—inseparable.
