Gulp...
"Kerubiel...?"
As a Saint, Jeanne d'Arc was well aware of what dwelled in the heavens and the protectors of God's dominion.
So when she heard the name of Mayuri's Noble Phantasm, her body trembled in fear.
"This… this is bad… no, no, no. The Holy Grail shouldn't be able to summon something like that!!"
Kerubiel was far too vast and powerful—something the mortal world should never have been able to endure.
"This is impossible! Why is the guardian of Eden serving The Monster?!"
According to mythology, Kerubiel was the chief regent who had ruled over the Cherubs since Creation, one of the most exalted princes of Heaven. In fact, he was the one who prevented Adam and his descendants from returning to Paradise.
But none of that mattered now. Kerubiel had finished forming, and the colossus now hovered above them like a gigantic mountain. Even so, in its current form, it clearly looked affected by the mortal world.
In mythology, Kerubiel stood roughly seven heavens tall, with a body made of burning coals and covered in countless eyes.
Its face was fire, its eyes shone with light, and its eyelashes were lightning.
Flames burst forth with every word it spoke, and wings covered it from head to toe.
Thunder, lightning, and earthquakes were its constant companions. Even though it was currently restrained, Kerubiel still possessed overwhelming power—a black sphere with two massive pairs of wings and a crown atop it, shining like the sun itself.
Sitting upon the crown, Mayuri flapped her wings and smiled.
"Come now, children. Tremble before the power of the Progenitors."
At Mayuri's command, Kerubiel opened its eyes, unleashing its immense magical power as a barrage of thunder. The first to be struck was the Egyptian temple...
The indiscriminate assault across the battlefield left every Servant with no choice but to evade.
BOOMMM
Even the giant Golem was blown away by the lightning imbued with the Authority of God...
"Adam? You must be joking. No matter how much mortals try to replicate God's works, they will never rival the power of the heavens..."
Yuki crossed his arms, mocking the giant's fall. To him, this attempt at imitation was laughable. It was true that Adam had been made from dust—but there was something far more important behind Adam's power.
It wasn't the breath of life. Enkidu had been the same—formed from clay and granted life by the Gods.
But there was one crucial difference.
Adam was made in the image of God. He was a man who possessed the power of the Gods.
That was why the Golem of Avicebron could never be "Adam." And why mortals could never wield the power of the heavens...
"Noooo!!!"
Avicebron screamed in terror as his perfect creation failed to withstand the assault from the heavens and crumbled into dust...
Eden beneath their feet was scorched black, collapsing into ash.
BOOMMM, BOOMMM
The thunder barrages finally met resistance when Humbaba counterattacked—but it was futile. Humbaba's Mana output of A was nothing compared to the Colossus of the Sky, whose magical power was EX.
Humbaba was forced back, gradually collapsing under Kerubiel's might, retreating as explosions of thunder rained down.
Even the battle between Karna and Kotori Itsuka was interrupted by the storm of lightning...
"Hee~ as dominant as ever, Mayuri-san."
Pulling away from Karna, Kotori understood that this battlefield now belonged to Yuki. The release of Kerubiel proved it.
She abandoned the fight and flew back toward the crystal Tower. Karna didn't stop her—he retreated as well, the lightning assault enough to make even him wary.
"We can't stay here and wait for death!"
With Avalon protecting her, Artoria Pendragon endured the initial waves, but it was only a matter of time before the shield failed.
Avalon had its limits, and Kerubiel was one of Heaven's exalted. She wasn't about to risk having the Promised Land reduced to ashes.
She scooped Shirou Kotomine into her arms and surged forward.
She could see it—the Domain of Ozymandias was burning, crumbling piece by piece.
(I can't see the lines of death.)
Shiki Ryougi frowned. As someone connected to the Root, aside from True Ancestors—who lacked death at night—and Ultimate Ones, she had never encountered beings she couldn't kill.
Her eyes could even kill concepts, yet with the Evas, there was no "Death" to see. Protected by the Crown, some of them had gone even further by assuming the Throne, transcending the World itself—rules simply didn't apply to them.
The only one who possessed a physical "Death" was Adam himself, yet Shiki Ryougi wasn't certain Adam could truly die.
That was to be expected. Yuki, seated upon the Throne of annihilation, was neither alive nor dead. It was impossible to perceive his lines of death. Now that his true body was undergoing transformation, the Crown could only be used by the Evas. His physical body was not a Champion at the moment—leaving only a single line of death, representing his body, while his soul resided within the Crown. Shiki Ryougi couldn't reach that level of power.
Still, this was good news. At the very least, there was hope that this catastrophe could be stopped...
And she wasn't the only one who realized it. Among the summoned were Crowns—one in particular specialized in long-range attacks...
"It doesn't matter if you're an Angel or a beautiful girl—my arrows will bring you down from the sky!"
BOOMMM
As a great Archer, Orion was an experienced hunter. His arrows were stronger and deadlier than Atalanta's. The colossus in the sky was struck with ease—as expected, since Orion's arrows could pierce even Artemis floating in space.
"Don't underestimate me!"
Even restrained by blood, he still possessed divinity—enough to resist the curse of the Progenitors. Without hesitation, his arrows bombarded the colossus. And he wasn't alone—Angelica joined in as well.
The treasury opened, firing multiple Noble Phantasms in rapid succession. A massive explosion engulfed the colossus.
Moments later, several lasers fired from the pyramid. Ozymandias had no intention of standing idle while his temple collapsed. He had taken heavy damage, but his main temple endured, and Orion's counterattack gave him the opening he needed.
"How dare you destroy the temple of the King of Kings?! You will fall!"
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM
The other Servants joined in. Anyone with long-range attacks, anyone still able to move, unleashed their power skyward, blanketing the heavens.
"Hmph, fools..."
Yuki smiled. From his perspective, their desperate attacks were nothing more than bee stings to Kerubiel.
Kerubiel had endured two direct blows from The Beast in Date A Live. Its Endurance was so absurd that without the erasure concept of Ain, it would never have been brought down...
And just as Yuki expected, once the smoke and gunfire cleared, Kerubiel emerged completely unscathed.
Kerubiel's Eyes gathered magical power once more, preparing another sweeping assault across the battlefield...
"There are too many Servants. We need to reduce their numbers."
Kerubiel alone was enough to wipe them all out—but Yuki had no intention of waiting.
Spreading both hands, Yuki released the Spirits dwelling within his world.
"Saah!! Come forth, my beloved wives. There's no need to hold back anymore. Send those disobedient children to the Throne of Heroes and bring me the keys. The time has come to create a new World."
The gate to the spiritual world opened, and the Evas emerged one by one...
The moment for total war between the Servants and Yuki had arrived.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! Why did you attack Rider?!"
Meanwhile, elsewhere, Rin Tohsaka accused Luviagelita Edelfelt, immediately raising her guard. Scathach had knocked down her precious Loli.
That infuriated her...
"You're still as naïve as ever, Tohsaka Rin."
After freeing herself from the crystals, Luviagelita exhaled in relief and exchanged glances with her Servant.
It seemed she had been right after all—the Progenitors could not be trusted.
