Chapter 46 - Frustration

It has been a week since Naruto started training with Mei. Nobody was there to disturb them because they were training far away from the village.

He had asked for some time off from his team due to his training, and thankfully, his team was more than ready to give him that time.

Hinata had her own training that she wanted to complete while Shikamaru was trying to learn as much as he could from his father.

Both of them were Chunin Level in strength, but they had something lacking. Both of them lacked Elemental Jutsu. So, they were learning Nature Transformation as well.

As for Naruto, his goal was to master Boil Release.

Now, there were two ways he could train Boil Release. First, he could combine them like Mei does to create an acidic mist version.

Or, he could combine them and use the Boil Release to raise the temperature of his chakra to its boiling point, where it would release steam out of him, and using that steam, he could increase his physical strength.

Both ways had their own uses. But Naruto felt closer to the second method since it was the main reason why he wanted to learn Boil Release in the first place.

But, combining these two elements was hard. Even with hundreds of his clones constantly working on it, he couldn't even scratch the surface within a week.

"You should take some rest. You can't go on like this." A soft voice rang from the side. Naruto turned around to see a young man of his age. This young man was holding a gigantic sword.

He was none other than Chojuro, one of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist. Naruto fought against him, and except for his Ninjutsu, he couldn't beat this guy at anything else.

Yeah, he could tie with him using his Taijutsu, but then whenever he uses his sword, Chojuro would get more confident and fight on the same level as him.

"I can't. I have to master Boil Release within a month. It has already been a week." Naruto snorted and continued to release his Fire Chakra and Water Chakra on his palms and tried to merge them.

"It won't work like this." Chojuro's voice got louder, but when Naruto looked at him, he instantly got wimpy and said.

"Even Mei-sama took years to master Boil Release. Even if you have your shadow clones, it is not something you can learn within a week."

"Take your time, you will slowly master it within a month."

Hearing his words, Naruto looked at him with a stunned expression.

"You believe I can do it?"

Chojuro looked at the hundreds of clones that were still focusing on Boil Release and said.

"I have never seen someone as hard-working as you. Well, I haven't seen a lot of people, so I might be wrong, but you are definitely one of the hardest-working people I have seen."

"You told Mei-sama that you weren't a prodigy, but you are still so much stronger without even Kyubi's chakra. If you could get so much stronger with hard work, then yeah, I believe you can learn Boil Release."

At first, Naruto didn't react. He just sat down and looked at the sight of his clones working on Boil Release. After a long silence, he finally spoke.

"When I graduated from the academy, I was dead last. I couldn't even perform a proper Taijutsu stance or a Clone Jutsu. I was so bad that I didn't pass the graduation exam twice."

Chojuro's eyes widened. Naruto didn't stop, though.

"Just before I graduated, I mistakenly killed a traitor, and that changed my life entirely. At first, I wasn't sure if I could still get stronger on my own, but as the day passed, I found several ways to get stronger."

"And, as I became stronger, I realized it wasn't exactly my fault that I was weak before. Nobody was there to teach me anything. Because of my status as Jinchuriki, teachers would either ignore me or try to sabotage my training."

"So, I have been working on my own to get stronger. How stupid of me to think like that! I almost sounded like Sasuke. You were right, Chojuro. I will master this within a month."

"Because just like any other time after my graduation, I have someone willing to teach me. Thanks for reminding me!"

Chojuro couldn't help but smile. He nodded his head and said.

"Do you want to spar?"

"Looks like you are getting more confident." Naruto smirked as he ready himself.

"Well, I am trying to get stronger so that I can help Mei-sama." Chojuro spoke as he took the stance with his legs crouching and both of his hands holding the sword.

Naruto took out a Kunai, and both of them rushed toward each other.

Bang!

The Kunai and sword clashed. Although the sword was big, it didn't break the Kunai in a single strike.

Naruto was channeling Wind Chakra into his Kunai as he fought back and forth with Chojuro.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Chojuro tried to launch attacks from the top, sides, and down, and stabbed. But none of his attacks worked. Each time they clashed, they released a large amount of Chakra.

The more Chojuro attacked, the bigger and brighter his sword became. The blue chakra was surrounding it and sharpening the edge of his sword.

Crack!

After nearly twenty clashes, the kunai broke into pieces, and both of them stopped.

Chojuro was heavily panting while looking surprised.

"You broke it. You broke my Wind Channeled Kunai." Naruto also looked surprised.

During each fight, Chojuro would conjure a lot of Chakra into his sword, but before he could release all of it, he would pass out due to exhaustion.

But this time, he managed to stay awake until he finally broke his kunai. As for Naruto, even with his Wind-enhanced Kunai, he couldn't break his sword. That was a legendary weapon known as Hiramekarei.

"I did it. I surpassed my limit." Chojuro couldn't help but smile brightly as he fell on his back.

Thud!

Clap! Clap! Clap!

"Congratulations, Chojuro! You have gotten stronger." A soft laughter with claps came from the other side. When Naruto and Chojuro turned, they saw Mei with Ao.

She had a gentle smile on her face as she walked toward them.

"Mei-sama!" Chojuro tried to stand up, but Mei stopped him.

"You need to rest. Hiramekarei is similar to that of Samehada as it constantly requires a large amount of chakra to work. You should quickly wrap it."

Chojuro slowly sat down and started wrapping his sword with the bandages.

"How about your training?" Mei looked at Naruto and asked.

"I am still lacking something to create Boil Release. I just can't find that feeling." Naruto answered with a sigh, but this time, there were no negative emotions in his tone.

Mei couldn't help but smile.

"So, you finally overcame the struggle of creating a bloodline."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Naruto asked with a stunned expression.

Mei shook her head and said while looking at Chojuro.

"Unlike you, I had to realize this on my own. But, it seems like you had some help."

Naruto still looked confused. At this moment, Ao decided to interrupt.

"Boy, what she is trying to say is that it takes years to create Bloodline Limit. Most people can't even do that since they need to have two element affinities from their birth."

"So, getting over the frustration of not succeeding is the first step toward creating your bloodline limit."

Hearing his words, Naruto understood some but was still confused.

"So, how is this going to help me create Boil Release?"

"Because now that you no longer have the frustration, I am going to give you a hint." Mei chuckled as she answered.

"And, you didn't do that before. Why?" Naruto couldn't help but reply with a deadpan expression.

"Because you need to get over your frustration. Whenever a person starts getting successful, the person suddenly fails to achieve another success, he starts getting frustrated, and it keeps getting bigger in his mind."

"So, with that kind of frustrated mind, that person will never achieve success. That's why I wanted you to overcome your frustration before I give you the hint to create Boil Release."

Naruto finally understood. He couldn't help but remember Sasuke. Will he be able to overcome his frustration? If he can't, what will he do?

Naruto was only able to overcome it so fast thanks to Chojuro. So, he was a bit worried about Sasuke, but only for a second. He quickly looked at Mei and asked.

"So, what's the hint?"

"Ohh! Why don't we visit an onsen and take a hot bath first?" Mei gave him a seductive look as she spoke.

Her words were a bit too seductive for young ones. Naruto and Chojuro couldn't help but even Mei's busty body without clothes, and blood leaked from their noses.

"Boys!" Mei chuckled and turned around.

"I never said mixed bath."
