The Dragon Knight had his eyes closed when Elaina arrived at the second World Tree's roots. He looks asleep, but based on Elaina's observation, he isn't; he just has his eyes closed and is keeping an ear out for his surroundings.
As soon as Elaina got close enough, the Dragon Knight spoke without opening his eyes and asked her a question.
"Hello, benefactor. It seems you have decided to visit. Perhaps you have some business with the pixies?" he asked, probing into Elaina's reason for being there while still looking like he was still asleep.
Elaina nodded. "Although I don't have business with the pixies at the moment, I do have business with you, Mr. Dragon Knight. Would you indulge some of my questions?"
"Please, go ahead, Benefactor. I don't mind any questions as long as they are within my knowledge. Of course, I would apologize if I couldn't satisfy your questions, but I will try my best to provide the necessary answers you seek."
