When she woke up the next morning, the inn was quiet. It was still very early, the sun just beginning to rise, casting a pale, watery light through the thin curtains. Adrien was asleep on the small couch in the corner of the room, a thin blanket draped over him, his purple hair splayed across the cushions. Merwyn was... nowhere to be seen. But then, she'd never known the fae to sleep.
Mia, in her cat form, was curled up at the foot of the bed, a warm, purring lump of pink fur. Emily carefully got out of bed, trying not to disturb her, and slipped on her shoes.
