-------------------------------------------------

The silence stretched between them—Not uncomfortable.

Just… unfamiliar. As Kaguya was silently looking at the young man before her.

Leo didn't rush her answer. Didn't press further.

Instead—His gaze shifted.

To the roots. To the chains.

They weren't ordinary restraints.

They were the seals which Hagoromo and Hamura used to seal their mother.

They pulsed showing they were still active. Faintly. Drawing the chakra from Kaguya's body. Draining her completely.

"…Well interesting sealing technique have been used here,"

he murmured in low voice as he could see how the chakras from Kaguya's body is been drained and keeping her in weak state for so many years.

Kaguya followed his gaze.

"…It is necessary. For my sons who hate me..."

Not resentment. Not anger.

Just fact. As her face for a second saddened and showed the trace of pity.

Leo sat down beside her. Calm.

"...."

Like he'd chosen this place for a quiet break.

"…Do you want to come out?"

That question—Landed differently.

Kaguya turned to him with wide eyes and confused expression on her face.

"…You would release me?"

A pause.

"…Are you not afraid?"

For a moment—Nothing moved hearing her question and curiosity in her voice.

Then—Leo laughed. Not mocking. Not cautious. Genuine. Feeling the cuteness of the rabbit princess whose cheeks he want's to poke.

"…Afraid?"

He snapped his fingers.

-Snap!

And the world shifted—A blanket appeared with red and white checked design on it.

Soft. Spread across the pale moon sand.

Then—Food. Dishes. Warm. Fragrant which has been preserved well by his system.

Alive with color that didn't belong to this lifeless place.

Leo casually began arranging them.

As if hosting a picnic—On the moon.

Is the most common thing to do.

"…I'm more interested than afraid."

Kaguya watched as the young man before her was not even afraid of her but also curious. Quietly.

Because this—Was something new which was happening again after several years.

Not the food. Not the objects.

The act of Sharing the food. Offering it to her.

"…What are these?"

Leo picked up a piece.

"Food."

"…I do not require sustenance."

"I didn't say you did."

A pause as soon as she heard his answer.

"…Then why?"

Leo glanced at her.

"…Because you can taste it right."

That answer—Didn't fit into anything she knew.

He started eating. Calm. Enjoying it.

Not waiting for a another question.

Which put a awkward silence.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Then—He looked at her again.

"…You've never tried it properly, have you?"

Kaguya didn't respond.

Because the truth—Was obvious.

She had lived on Earth once.

Ruled it. Changed it. And once wanted to execute a grand plan which terribly failed and the result was she was betrayed by her own sons and sealed her for years.

But never—Experienced the taste of the food like a normal human.

Leo picked up another piece. Held it out slightly.

"…Here."

She hesitated for a second.

"...."

Long enough—That time itself seemed to notice.

Then—Slowly—She reached out.

Took it in her pale hands. Studied it curiously.

Then—Carefully—A bite.

And—Everything changed.

Her eyes widened. Not dramatically.

Not loudly. But unmistakably this was a new feeling.

Her senses—Which had known only chakra—Only power—Only emptiness—Were suddenly—Flooded by the new sensation she was currently feeling.

Flavor. Warmth. Texture. Something this tasty she had never tasted.

"…This…"

She paused.

"…What is this?"

Leo smirked slightly.

-Smirk!

"…Taste."

Kaguya blinked caught off guard.

-Blink!

"...."

Then—Took another bite.

Faster this time. Then another... And another.

A faint color—Barely visible—Touched her pale cheeks.

Not in embarrassment.

Something else. Something softer. Something human.

She didn't stop. Didn't question further.

Just—Ate enjoying the feeling.

For the first time—Not out of need. But out of experience.

Leo watched quietly.

"…Careful."

She didn't respond.

"…You're going to like it too much."

Still nothing.

Because Kaguya—The Rabbit Goddess.

The being feared as a calamity.

Was currently—Completely absorbed—In food.

And for a brief moment—On a silent moon—She wasn't a goddess.

She was just—Someone—Tasting the world she once ruled—For the very first time.

The moon fell quiet again.

But this time—It wasn't empty.

Kaguya sat still—The last trace of warmth from the food lingering in her senses.

A strange feeling. Unfamiliar. Not unpleasant.

Leo glanced at her once more.

"…So."

A small pause.

"Do you want to be free?"

The question returned.

Simpler this time. Heavier.

Kaguya didn't answer immediately.

Her gaze drifted—From him—To the distant Earth.

"…I…"

A pause.

"…need time."

Not refusal. Not acceptance.

Something in between.

Leo nodded his head in understanding.

"Take it."

No pressure. No persuasion.

Because for someone like her—Freedom wasn't just escape.

It was consequence. Leo stood.

"…Before I go—"

He snapped his fingers. And something… strange appeared.

-Snap!

A flat object. Dark. Smooth. A screen.

Kaguya looked at it.

"…What is this?"

Leo smirked faintly.

-Smirk!

"A window."

The screen flickered—And came alive.

Moving images. Voices. Stories.

Kaguya's eyes widened slightly.

"…Another illusion?"

"No."

Leo crouched slightly—Showing her.

Buttons. Controls. In the remote.

"…Press this."

She did as he instructed.

The screen changed.

New scene. New world which she had never seen she could watch.

Leo explained briefly. Efficiently.

"...."

Then—He loaded it. Stories. Many.

Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Ben 10 and Naruto

Entire worlds—Inside a single object.

Kaguya stared at it.

"…These are… memories?"

"…Stories."

A pause.

"…Of humans."

That caught her attention.

Because humans—Were once hers.

Leo stepped back.

"…Think of it as something to pass time."

A faint glance at her.

"…You have plenty of that."

For a fraction of a second—Something almost like humor flickered in her eyes.

Almost.

Leo turned as he was about to go out.

"…When you decide—"

A pause.

"…call me."

Then—He was gone. Just like that.

The moon returned to silence.

"...."

But not emptiness.

Kaguya sat there. Alone.

The device in front of her—Glowing. Waiting.

She hesitated.

Then—Pressed a button.

A scene began.

Voices. Emotion. Conflict.

She watched. At first—As observation.

Then—With curiosity.

Then—With something deeper.

Because for the first time in centuries—Kaguya Ōtsutsuki wasn't watching Earth from afar.

She was experiencing it.

Story by story. Emotion by emotion. World by world.

And somewhere between magic, war, heroes, and loss—Something inside her—Very slowly—Started to change as she began to experience the entertainment after several years of shut down.

Morning slipped into the mansion like a quiet guest—Soft light filtering through the windows.

No urgency. No noise.

Leo opened his eyes. The moon. The silence.

"...."

Kaguya— Gone.

"…So it wasn't just a dream."

He didn't dwell on it.

Didn't question it.

Because some things—Didn't need confirmation.

He shifted slightly.

On one side—Aemma. Peacefully asleep.

On the other—Sasami.

Curled comfortably.

Both clearly victims of a long gaming night.

Leo glanced at them.

A faint, almost invisible smile touched his lips.

"…Hopeless."

Carefully—Without disturbing either—He slipped out of bed.

The room remained quiet.

Outside—The mansion had already awakened.

Shadows moved.

Not ominous. Not threatening.

Just… Working. Preparing. Maintaining.

Leo walked through the halls.

Unhurried.

The scent hit him before the sight did.

Coffee. Fresh. Rich. Waiting.

He stepped into the open area.

A cup was already there.

Placed neatly.

Perfect temperature.

One of the Shadow Soldiers stood nearby.

Silent.

Leo picked up the cup.

"…Efficient."

The shadow gave a slight bow—And faded back into stillness.

Leo took a sip. Warmth spread. Grounding.

Outside—

Uzushiogakure moved into another day.

Unaware—Of the quiet storm gathering beneath its surface.

Unaware—That its protector had just spoken to a goddess on the moon—

And left her watching stories.

Leo stood there. Coffee in hand. Eyes calm.

"…Let's see how today unfolds."
