James Jeff (JJ) Taylor and Kai Jones (a nice guy who gets manipulated) have been roommates for the past year, Recently, JJ has become concerned about Kai's safety as he attracts guys who try to manipulate him into doing things he doesn't want to do. To ensure Kai's protection, JJ has taken some drastic measures, including installing surveillance cameras in their apartment and instructing Kai to inform him about any guy he plans to bring over. Despite the seemingly overprotective nature of JJ's actions,  Kai likes that JJ cares for him, and protected him from getting raped. Kai has developed romantic feelings for JJ and is struggling with whether or not to confess them.
