"Today seems to be quite a gloomy day"
I muttered to myself looking at the sky from my window.
My name is jin-hun Yun, second son of jin-min Yun and Ha-rin Yun.
my life is simple, too simple, in my opinion.
I have this burning hunger for thrilling experiences,I just want an interesting life,
Some people, average people, would be satisfied with my life, but I'm not!!, not when there could be more.

Nahh, it will barely scratch the itch, and at the end of the day, I'll then land a mundane job, like my elder brother, who's now a doctor.
"God forbid"
I said with mild irritation
The only way left to be able to escape the clutches mundaness is
Join the military!
Like think about it!!!.
They have guns, l like guns
They have martial arts, I like those too
They have missions, they are perfect!.
I just need to talk to my parents.
Later that night at the dinner table
"Dad, after much thought and consideration I have decided that I want to join the military, after my graduation which is in two months"
I said cutting a piece of flesh, from the fish on my plate.
My parents conversations came to an abrupt halt, hearing my words.
My father's usually stern face was occupied by shock for a second before replying
"Son, I know it's compulsory in this country but you don't have to rush it give it time, and..."
" Sorry dad, but I have already made up my mind, and please honour my rate request."
I interrupted, my voice more serious than before.
I could still see the surprise on my parents face
"Son you sure about this" my father asked as he placed his spoon on the table.
"Yes father"
I replied with confidence.
"honey do you have an opinion on what your son just said, he says he wants to be a soldier"
My dad asked as he turns to face my mom,
"He as always been a good son with a little more maturity for his age but I don't think his old enough for the military but I will understand if you think otherwise"
My mom replied thoughtfully
" I will think about it, now finish your food before it gets cold" my father said as he picked up his spoon.
I finished my food.
Helped with the dishes
before going to my room, to start my night gaming session with my best friend Minho.
After many gaming rounds, Minho went to bed, so I continued the night with some anime.
LATER ON
My dad had worked out everything and told my brother what I said when he came to visit.Things went smoothly maybe because my dad works as a government official.
well after my graduation came, we held a little party after school, the party was also my send off party cause I was leaving in two weeks time, a lot of friends seem to have been invited but I wasn't interested in all that after the party I met with my close friend minho we spoke for a while before we said our heart felt goodbyes. I went back to my room, played a few games on my PC cause I knew wouldn't be able to do that there , well I just did casual things till the day came for me to go.
"Honey come and greet your son farewell" my dad shouted out to my mom as he stood beside the opened car "I'm coming I'm coming" my mom replied as with a face certainly not filled with joy of my departure.
As soon as mom give an heart felt farewell, we entered back into the car and started our journey later on my dad began to give me advices about how to not just survive in the military but in moving up the ranks.
my father may seem like a harsh person but his really a kind hearted man deep down who loves his family.
On arrival at the barracks I could see a set of new recruits as my dad goes into the office and fill in some documents I was taken to join the assembly with other new recruits, the drill Sergeant gave a heartfelt speech about how we should serve our country with pride and about how we should serve our country with all our hearts as it's our motherland before giving some basic exercises.
My dad came back after filling in the documents and gave his goodbyes.
Later on I was given a tour around the barrack after that I was taken to my camp, well I got to say there a lot more people than I imagined.
I was given my uniform and my bed number which was one hundred and seventy two due to how tiring the day was I went straight for my bed.
Since it was a bunk bed I was going to choose if I was going to sleep on top or below which was a easy decision for me I'll always choose top bed but it seems like my bed partner already beat me to it and now says i should sleep down bed in one of the most annoying tone, I can't let that slide.
"Why would I sleep below, come down from my spot" I said in anger , "ohhhh you're a feisty guy uh, I see I was here first so I'll stay here, you stay down there" , he replied with a tone that made me really really irritated.
"Feisty!!! you dare refer me as feisty according to my number I'm the one who is supposed to sleep up there not you so get the fuck downnn" I shouted clearly angry as our argument was beginning to pull attention towards us .
"Do you want to settle this with a fight? the idiot replied like he was gonna fight me. "Hey Hey you don't have to fight over a bed" a new guy came into our argument "why don't you guys sort this over with a game or something just saying because if you guys fight on your very first day you guys will be severely punished" he added.
I reasoned with what he and agreed "fine I agree let's say to this over again of rock paper scissors what do you say punk face", "okay then let's start" he replied with a annoying smirk on his face, "ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS" we both shouted.
And it Seems are like I lost to punk face.
"Hey what's your name" I asked the guy stopped our argument, "me? Oh am Dae-seong Wang" he replied with a weird ass smile on his face.
"Wait your grandfather is dae-Jung Wang right? I asked, "yes it seems you know of me" he replied with proud tone "no I don't know you I know your grandfather" I replied, punk face laughed before then introducing himself as Ho - Gu, "no one asked for your name" I said as I gave him an annoyed facial expression.
"Well it looks like a lot of time has passed we should get to bed I think they'll be waking us really early" Dae-seong said, "yeah you're right we should probably get to bed, nice to meet you by the way" I said with a chill smile "same" Dae-seong replies while walking off.
I focused on my bed and arranged it with some of my stuff before laying down to sleep.
"Ughh what a day" I thought to myself before dosing off.
While in my sleep
A mysterious person walked up to my bed and touched me, this person was radiating so much light that it felt like looking at the sun up close, "your existence spells destruction to us" a female voice spoke in a chilling tone before walking off and disappearing completely.
I woke up from my dream sweating, "damn I should lay off from anime for a while" I said drenched in sweat before laying back down to sleep.
