The group of men swaggered closer and stopped directly in front of the delicious, smoky food.
The aroma of roasting meat filled the air, making the men's mouths water.
The meat sizzled over the fire, its golden-brown surface glistening as hot fat dripped down onto the flames, sending up fragrant wisps of smoke.
The large man at the front grinned greedily.
"Is the food already cooked?" he asked, practically salivating as he stared at the meat. "Thank you very much. We were just wondering where we could get something good to eat."
His eyes were practically glued to the food.
Nero, however, merely glanced at the men before returning his attention to the fire. He clearly had no interest in dealing with them.
After a moment, Nero focused even more intently on the food he was preparing, as though the bullies didn't even exist.
Lucas, on the other hand, slowly let out a deep breath. He already knew where this was going.
"I guess I'll handle this."
