Rather than making me lose my nerve, the sheer madness of the situation almost felt like an invitation to prove myself. If they wanted to turn the entire battlefield into a disaster zone, then fine. I'd simply have to keep moving and make sure I wasn't among the unlucky bastards who ended up at the bottom of the ocean.
I moved swiftly from one ship to another, evading the incoming explosions while cutting down any enemies unfortunate enough to cross my path. The constant bombardment made every movement dangerous, but I wasn't about to let a bunch of flying machines ruin my fun. Besides, I had already survived enough ridiculous situations to know that panicking wasn't going to accomplish anything useful.
