The Commander didn't just ask it that. I mean, she almost breathed it out, and it was like the words themselves were fragile and might shatter if she said them too loudly. Her brows had drawn together, and there was this tightness in her jaw that told me she wasn't used to being the one caught off guard. If anything, she was usually the one making other people stumble over their own words.
It probably was the first time in her life someone had offered her something like that so bluntly, without hesitation, without ceremony.
"I'm not joking," the Princess replied smoothly, not even blinking. "Right now, I feel like I want to see you get fucked."
The word dropped between us like a stone into still water.
It was pretty vulgar coming from her. The Commander stared at her like she had just witnessed the royal palace catch fire. For a split second, I genuinely thought she might check Myrcella's forehead for a fever.
