Xu Ran nodded understandingly and followed Song Xuan toward the passage.
Just as they entered, a petite and agile Pet Beast dashed toward them, then nimbly leapt into Song Xuan's arms.
Xu Ran finally saw clearly: it was a wind attribute Blue-Spotted Cat.
This Blue-Spotted Cat wasn't in great shape—several obvious wounds marked its body. Though healing and getting decent treatment, it hadn't fully recovered yet.
"Is the Blue-Spotted Cat one of the four wind-type species in your base?" Xu Ran asked casually.
"No," Song Xuan shook her head. "Our Pet Beast Breeding Base's four wind attribute species are the Windbreaker Eagle, the Wind God Deer, the Azure Heron Dragon, and the Cloud Crossing Kite. This Blue-Spotted Cat just sometimes plays inside, since the environment is friendly for wind-types."
