In the nick of time, Li Yifei used his sword to slow his descent, then quickly kicked forward, his body fiercely defying gravity and soaring upwards again. Li Yifei's actions were extremely swift, ensuring he wouldn't be bitten by the giant fish or have his body crushed by its teeth.
The giant fish burst out of the water, always reaching a point of exhaustion eventually. Li Yifei even heard the snapping sound of its jaws closing; no, it was more like a beastly roar. A wave of stench hit him, but thankfully he was prepared, holding his breath and concentrating, otherwise he would have been overwhelmed by the smell.
