The Godfather looked coldly at the gun still smoking in his hand, and slowly walked to stand before Shadow, who was sprawled on the ground in a bloody mess, his face pallid beyond belief.
"Shadow, you truly are my most satisfactory killing machine, taking out so many of my subordinates in one go." The Godfather turned his head to gaze at the dozen corpses lying on the ground, his voice chilling to the bone.
Not a trace of pain appeared on Shadow's face, his eyes calm as water: "You taught me how to kill since I was a child, so I repaid you with it."
"I utterly despise that look in your eyes. Why not be a heartless and emotionless dog? What human nature, what light do you yearn for — those things should never belong to you." The Godfather was beside himself with anger; the feeling of failure filled him with a destructive urge, "Since you desire so much to see the light, I'll make sure you never see anything again!"
