Manman frowned, "Why?"
Muo Huangnian brushed away the long strands of hair by her cheek. "You'll be tired."
"I won't," Manman insisted on getting out of bed. "The doctor said I should take a walk after meals."
"Hmm, not today."
Muo Huangnian carefully pressed her back into bed and pulled the blanket over her. Manman felt a little puzzled but assumed he had something to say. "If you have something on your mind, just say it."
Muo Huangnian sat down at the edge of the bed, holding her delicate, seemingly boneless hand. He was silent for a long moment before asking softly, "Manman, do needles no longer hurt you anymore?"
She had received numerous injections during her stay at the hospital, yet aside from an unconscious frown, she no longer showed any other emotions.
"Hmm," Manman withdrew her hand, growing increasingly confused. "What exactly are you trying to tell me?"
