"Where did you take my dad?"
Stunned for a second, Emperor Quan chuckled and rubbed her nose.
"Look at my wife, such a sharp mind!"
Swatting his hand away, Zhan Se glared at him, "Cut the crap, spill it now."
With pursed lips full of dissatisfaction, she waited for his answer, but he remained silent, simply fixing his deep, dark eyes on her. It made Zhan Se's hair stand on end and her heart felt as if it were suspended in the air.
"What's this? It's not something happened to my dad, right?"
Emperor Quan shook his head, his expression turning colder, "No."
Her heart skipped a beat, and Zhan Se, made even more anxious by his solemn demeanor, couldn't help but sit upright. She turned up the wall lamp a bit more, resuming her strict scrutiny.
"What on earth is going on? Fourth Brother, you better not hide it from me!"
After hesitating for a moment, Lord Quan the Fourth pulled her hand, drawing her into his embrace and gently patted her back.
