Chapter 87 - Chapter 87 Isolation

After rolling around on the grass with the animals for a period of time, he heads back to his quarters, with them walking on either side of him. A few months ago, he didn't even know if he had a home, and now here he was entering his home, his own private domain, all 14,500 square ft of it.

Initially, the entire palace was somewhere around 830,000 square ft, but this 14,500 square ft belongs solely to him. He thought running his fingers along one of his sofas.

Razor's base, which was his home for the past few months, could easily fit in his quarters with space remaining. "Christ of Daniel." He breathes out loud, quoting Liah's mother's favorite phrase. "This place is huge," he says, standing at the entrance to his massive walk-in closet.

Midnight growled and gave him a, Are you just realizing that look. "Hey, if you had been through what I had and seen all that I have, you would be saying the same thing." He snorts at the animal. "But seriously, the things I witness in that community." He continues in his native tongue.

"The person I had to become just to survive, no wonder those men are like that, I mean to live in that manner daily is a bit much, even for someone as fearless as I." He sighs, rubbing the animal's head and ears.

"Thanks to my training, I was able to defend myself, and now that I think about it, most of my time on that Island was spent with me defending myself from those people or defending them from each other." He snorts again.

"I couldn't remember who I was, but my reflexes never forgot what it was taught. Thank goodness for that, or I wouldn't be standing here right now. Leaving his quarters, he began walking around, heading nowhere in particular as he continued speaking to the animals.

"You know what, despite all the horrible things I witness in that community, I also witness love, true love, friendship, loyalty, and overall genuine concern for each other...

I speak of true love, such as what Jody and Joseph have for each other. True friends such as Jermaine and Evan. Jermaine was always ready to put his life at risk to help Evan; it's such a pity that Jermaine had to die. Not to mention the loyalty that some of them showed to their leader, whoever their leader was from one point to the other...

I also witnessed how far some of them were willing to go to protect their families, and that's the reason I'm not too upset with Liah or Anthony for how they reacted when Zoey accused me." He sighs.

Their duty as older siblings is to protect her, yes, she was instigated by someone to frame me, I still think it was David, but if she wasn't and I was indeed guilty, then yes, I would have deserved every bit of their anger...But I was innocent, I would never be found guilty of an offense such as that." He snorts.

"However, what I'm indeed angry at Liah for is going back to her ex. She told me that she was finished with him, that she was in love with me, she even went against the holiest one, just to be with me...

But when I was accused, she didn't fight for me, for us, and even though a lot of people kept telling her that she was wrong about me, she didn't listen, she didn't even investigate her sister's claim or give me a chance to defend myself, no, what she did was turn her back on me...

She used me, then threw me aside and went back to her ex That is unacceptable and unforgivable, damn you, Liah, for crushing my heart like this." He growls, his fingers folding into fists.

His feet halted as he was passing his garage, and he turned towards it, pressed a button, and the massive door began lifting off the ground and disappearing into the roof. He then steps inside. "Now this is a spread Razor would appreciate." He says, surveying his spread of vehicles. Eight different vehicles in total, plus a big black bike.

"Razor always took pride in his vehicles." He says, running his fingers along his Jaguar. The animals look up at him, then turn their heads and look at the vehicle he was touching, and he smiles down at them. He knew they could understand what he was saying; they just couldn't reply. With a heavy sigh, he walks from the garage, closing the door behind him.

"Now, this is one thing I didn't do while I was on the Island, swimming." He chuckles, walking along his massive swimming pool. "The only body of water I came in contact with was the one I was shoved into, and I had no desire to go swimming in that." He snorts, bending before the animals.

"You both may be wondering why I'm telling you all this now. It's because once the fact that I lost my mother, fiancée, and unborn child to my brother's murderous hands sinks in, I won't be able to share any of this with you. I guess I'm kind of preparing myself for the excruciating pain and grief I know will be hitting me full force in a matter of hours...

I think it would be best if I go into isolation for a while, so could both of you watch over me, please don't let me slip too far into the darkness of grief." The animals rub their heads against him, their way of saying we got your back.
