Raven let a hum out as he made a set of chains that even Odin would be proud of. They were designed to last exactly two weeks and be nigh unbreakable by most beings.

What were they to be used for?

To hang someone from the cafeteria ceiling for two weeks straight for revealing he was a magician.

Was it accidental the fool heard? No. However the fool just went and revealed it to everyone in the tower. That may have been the plan, but even so, do dumb shit, get punished for it. Actions have consequences after all.

"That should do it." Raven said as the last of the runes inside the chain links were completed, a bit of alteration fixed the chain, and then it started glowing for a moment.

Raven stood up and summon his sword and swung down at the chain, it bounced off harmlessly, not even a scratch.

"Good. Now for a small blast of magic." Raven smiled and then he let loose a few spells that didn't even scratch it.

"Perfect. Nothing a magus can do will be able to break these, at least those who might even think of trying to do so." Raven mused before he grabbed the chains and walked off in the dead of night.

The next morning a man was found hanging from the dining hall ceiling.

No one would help in fear of angering a magician.

"Hello there Junior." A voice said and Raven took a deep breath as he looked to his right and saw the Wizard Marshal himself.

"Senior. Out for a stroll?" Raven asked as the man took a seat across from him with a hum.

"Oh yes, sometimes these old joints need a stretching." Zelretch said as he placed his cane against the side of his chair.

"Tell me young man, what are you studying?" Zelretch asked curiously and Raven flipped the book up and Zelretch hummed.

Origins of All, by Eclipse Nava

"A interesting book for sure, are you studying for your magic?" Zelretch asked and Raven nodded, this man could see different universes, so no doubt he's seen a few users of the first Magic.

"Yes, I've been struggling with the non creation half of my Magic, so I've been researching the old beings, to understand how things were different, about the introduction of Ether into the air. Genesis. Unfortunately talking with creation deities is hard. Especially when most of them retired to unknown realms or faded away." Raven said and the older man nodded his head.

"I see. That is interesting. Most true magics have a special set of rules for them. The fifth is capable of instantly brining heat death to the universe by mere little changes. The fourth operates on its own special rules on a different dimension. The third makes the soul its own physical vessel and that imposes its own rules and restrictions. The second requires calculations for everything. The first is supposed to require exact information and understanding down to even the atom, but I sense yours is different from that and of a different rule set." Zelretch said with curious hum.

"You'd be correct, I just need to know what it is I'm creating. Like so." Raven flipped his hand and a simple dagger was created. He tossed it to the magician.

"I know how it's made, so I know how to create it. If I scan something, like say your cane, with Structual Analysis, I can easily replicate it. I just need to understand and know the item, and even when knowing the item I'm trying to destroy to beyond its atom, I can't just make it vanish." Raven said annoyed and the older man nodded in understanding.

"I see, that must be annoying to not even be able to make use of half your magic." Zelretch said and Raven growled.

"That's just it though, it's happened at least once on its own, and no matter how I replicate that moment, it just doesn't happen again. So either my magic is broken, which I doubt, then I'm not understanding it properly, so I'm strutting Genesis and beings of creation and destruction." Raven said and the man nodded in understanding.

"I see, well then, how about I tell you a story?" Zelretch asked and Raven hummed before placing a bookmark in his book and closing it. The book was shoved into his pocket dimension.

"Let me tell you about my greatest foe, the moon itself. Back when I was an eager young man in his prime, I had just mastered my magic, my teacher had said my training was complete, so I set out. A visit to an old friend, the ancestor to your own teacher, and he told me about some issues he was having." Zelretch paused and then continued.

"True Ancestors. The original dead apostles sired by the moon and Gaia. Modeled after the crimson moon himself, Type-Moon. The consciousness of the moon. Though it's a weird situation with that, Types are supposed to be the strongest being on the surface of its planet. He was the strongest being and the moon itself. An existence that shouldn't exist, but did." Zelretch sighed as he ran a hand over his neck.

"Perhaps that as a smaller then average sized planet, the moons fragile soul perhaps smothered by Gaia's, was smothered and weakened. So the crimson moon was able to mix with it and that gave birth to their existence." Raven asked the older man who hummed in thought.

"That does provide a reasonable explanation on how they came to be, it is a theory I had myself on many occasions. However it doesn't explains just why they were able to fuse, it shouldn't be possible. They're souls aren't compatible and should have combusted on each other. The soul of the moon shouldn't hsve fit in a vessel the size of a human. The raw power of the moon shouldn't have fit either." Zelretch said and Raven hummed.

"I've been experimenting with that, what if the moon butchered its soul and compressed it together somehow, and then wove itself into the soul of the vessels soul. They'd properly, if confusingly, become one being. Perhaps desperation led to a desert solution?" Raven said and Zelretched hummed in agreement at that.

"That does sound like a final decision, both beings would ceast to exist permanently, instead the culmination of both would be the only one remaining. Brunestud." Zelretch said and Raven sat quietly pondering.

"Yes, but now I have to ask, how did you beat such a being?"

"Oh that? Gahahahaha, I threw another moon at him, it strained by body and forced me into the look you see now, but that bastard Brunestud had one last fuck you to give, he corrupted my soul with vampirism. One bite and I was doomed to this life." Zelretch said and Raven hummed as he stared at Zelretch closely.

"A false body, one that is a true body, but also not. Not as effected by vampirism as it should be, but your soul turned vampiric gave slight alterations to this body. Claws, the mystic eyes, immortality and bloodlust, albeit weaker then it should be." Raven noted as Zelretch clapped.

"Well done. Indeed, an old friend made this body for me. Slightly better then my old one, but worse to some degree. However without my youth, even with this body, I'm weaker then I would like." Zelretch said softly as he stared at his hand.

"I see. Since your soul aged forward, your body will have to reflect that. It's sad you can't rewind time in your soul- achoo!" Raven sneezed as the door busted opened and revealed the middle child of their trio.

Magician of The Fifth True Magic, The Blue. Aoko Aozaki.

Raven could admit she had a certain beauty to her. However as he held a piece of wood in his hand from piercing his head, he wished he had let it do so, would have been an interesting experience to see her reaction.

"Zelretch I need your help getting a pair of mystic eye killers! They're all gone!" Aoko demanded and Raven raised an eyebrow at her.

"Aoko… first fix my door." Zelretch said, and Raven had noticed as they had walked to the man's office, but it wasn't a big concern, privacy and all that.

"Oh… sorry." She said with a sweat drop as she scratched the back of her head and used her magic to rewind the door back together.

"Now, why don't you ask like a civilized being and the mannered girl I know you can be." Zelretch said with the patience of a parent. Raven thought it was funny how he treated her like a kid, though to be fair, she was like a toddler compared to his many years on the planet.

However while this was happening, he also noted his unique reaction to her magic, the essence of time was causing him to act like he had allergies…

'Wait a fucking minute, is someone doing something related to time magic inside the castle? Oh, a motherfucker is dying soon.' Raven thought annoyed as he took a deep breath.

"Can you please help me get a pair of mystic eye killers somehow for a kid who has the mystic eyes of death perception?" She asked politely and with manners, and Raven was extremly amused.

He preferred her the other way, it was rude yes, but acting not like yourself was weird. Especially for a magician, but then again, when the eldest child in the family ask for something seriously, it usually happens.

"Much better, though I don't currently have a pair on me, the youngest of us can provide you a pair. What he wants for that, I can't say." Zelretch said and Raven smiled as he stood up.

"Sup, Raven Inanis, Magician of The First True Magic, Denial of Nothingness." Raven said as Aoko shook his hand with a nice firm grip.

"I've heard the whispers as I walked by, so I guess they were true. What do you want for a pair of those glasses?" Aoko asked directly and Raven smiled.

"A deal and promise that you fulfill any favor for me later, unless it goes against your morals enterly." Raven said and Aoko hummed to herself as she thought that over.

"I accept that deal." She said as they shook hands, neither noticing the slight glow accompanied by the handshake, though Zelretch did and an amused smile formed on his face.

"Here's the glasses." Raven said casually tossing a pair in a box to her as she caught them, a quick peak inside revealed they were them. "I'd recommend telling that person who you give them to, don't wear them only sometimes, they must wear them all the time." Raven said as Aoko nodded her head and waved in thanks before leaving.

"For someone like her from a magus family, I expected better manners, but I supposed that she wouldn't be Aoko without being like that." Raven said as he created another pair and slid them onto his face.

The ones he gave her woukd actually analyze the mystic eyes they guarded against. Easy research on such a pair of eyes, and without worry. Plus they'd record information and send it back as well.

"A well played trick, while I'm not the biggest troll around, despite what many would believe, that is definitely worthy of a top tier magus." Zelretch said and Raven smile.

"I don't know what you're talking about old man." He replied and the older man chuckled.

"Indeed. If you have the time, would you care to see something with me?" Zelretch asked and Raven hummed and then nodded, he had plenty of time, it was winter break after all.

"Very well, if you are ready, let us head out." Zelretch said and Raven took his glasses off and stored them away and followed the old man into a portal of many colors.

The next chapter will be very interesting I must say. Very much interesting hehehe.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter, I had to deliberate on just how I was going to handle the characters that were Zelretch and Aoko.

Zelretch is a old man, who despite what fanon says, isn't a big troller, that's all fanon. He's just an enjoyer of the rare occasional prank.

Aoko is a rough lady who does what she wants and enjoys explosions, however she's not above using the manners she had beaten into her before she got her true magic.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed!

Bye~
