Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Thornsville

Thornsville. It read. I've been walking for a couple of hours, my feet hurt and my body feels very stiff, my legs are aching and burning with pain but i can't stop now, there isn't a hint of sign that there might be a place or a town nearby. I wish to wake up from this dream, i miss my bed, but i can't let myself accept it truly.

those were my last thoughts as i crashed down, in a nowhere place, with no one around, at least i won't have to walk now. I'll let myself rest for a bit.

 ...

"should we get rid of her before the princess comes?"

"seriously? weren't you the one who got her here in the first place?"

"yeah because she was just lying on the roadside"

my throat hurts.

i open my eyes to see a pair of eyes staring at me; Green eyes with rings of gold, as mosey green and still as water in summer, she quicky looks away after a second letting out her breath.

"uh, she's up so i guess I'll go. Do what you want with her. I've got work to do", she says without looking back.

"alright, be safe!", i hear a voice say without a face.

She goes of just like that, leaving me alone with some elves? i don't know.

An elf emerges from the back, she seems a lot shorter than i expected, her pointy ears were covered with a scarf which was messily worn and she was wearing a bright pink dress which lengthened till her feet.

"okay we'll have to dress you up before you meet the princess, don't be nervous okay? I'm sure she'll love you!", she smiles.

After I'm done getting dressed and my hair made gently into a flowing braid, another one of the elves leads the way to the princess's court.

"so..anything i should know about?", I asked.

"well, don't worry about the princess. She's an amiable women whose rather gregarious i might say, you'll like her in no time. It should be her lady in waiting you should worry about, she doesn't trust many..and you've got no reason to gain her trust anyway. very well then, you have to go inside yourself and you'll meet them both. Goodluck"

i waved him goodbye and opened the gates.

The hall was magnificent with breathtaking chandeliers and i know this sounds crazy but oh god it's Resplendent. The walIs were painted baby pink and the ceiling was golden. I don't think I've seen anything like this before. I admire the place as i move ahead and see the princess, beside her was her standing. The girl with hazel green eyes.

" Welcome! I heard you're from the ordinary world, am i right? It's lovely to meet you. I haven't ever met someone from there and Jude tells me its not worth it but i always wanted to anyway, may i ask you name?", the princess exclaims taking her hand out for me.

" oh um, its Hannah, it's an honor to meet you too princess", i say shaking her hand

"mhm..so Hannah i want you to tell me how'd you get here?"

" oh i'm not sure..i fainted and then woke up here"

"oh darling i don't mean thornsville, i mean this place, our world. Its not quite easy to do so"

" It sounds a bit crazy but if this is real then.. i was sitting in my bedroom and a giant raven swept me up and then threw me in the forest, how petty of it. I didn't even say anything!"

Jude's eyebrows drew together hearing that. Of course no one would believe it.

" oh ravens are rare i might say, i'll have to look into it. We can discuss about it in detail but for now i think you should have dinner and rest, we can always talk tomorrow", she stated and ordered an elf to drop me off to the dining hall.

After dinner I head to my room when I see Jude going somewhere. It's not like i have anything better to do, so i follow her.
