Chapter 112 - Chapter 111: Desperate Rush Against Time, Final Part

664 10/11 3:21 (Autumn, Day, Midrar)

Luna floated in place, watching carefully the effects that her Spell had on her opponent, calculating the various factors involved in its Effects as a Domain and to make a more precise model of her opponent and increase her understanding to both Spirits and the Spell he used, [Avatar Manifestation].

Said blonde had ceased to be surrounded in his electricity, well aware that surrounded as he was in water, a single loss of focus would cause himself to be electrocuted within this sea, instead using the freed computational power to control more precisely his Vital Energy and Mana, reinforcing his body against the weight of the water above him.

JouleMark tried theirhis very best to not breath, theirhis emotional instability caused by the situation leading theirhis Spell to start fraying apart at the seams, thing certaintly not helped by the fact that theirhis lightning arm too had dissolved with the rest of the electricity, leaving theirhis stump behind.

Stump that was gradually worsening because of the water that was currently pressing against it, causing a dull ache because of the dissolution that even now was trying to affect theirhis body caused by the Condemnation-Attribute imbued within the water.

The worst condition of this Domain however was the fact demonstrated by the difficulty the Human-Spirit Hybrid felt in just moving, the weight dragging themhim down, the lack of oxigen rapidly increasing the strain on theirhis Energy.

JouleMark struggled to raise theirhis eyes to meet with Luna's, the lack of light in the flooded Domain without a doubt, being extra carefull that theirhis Energy covered all of theirhis weakspots to make sure that the Anti-Anti-Luna Effect-infused water would not invade theirhis body.

After all, defending one's inside was much more difficult and risky than defending the outside.

And while Mark had a considerable amount of experience fighting underwater from various previous Timelines, he let's say was not exactly accustomed to fight in a place where the environment itself wanted an end to his very existence in of itself.

A bright Aura erupted from JouleMark's body, pushing away as much of the water as possible, an ultimately pointless effort considering how the mass was only increasing over time until it would be more than enough to crush themhim into paste, sure, but the light imbued within the Aura finally led themhim to find Luna.

JouleMark immediately launched forward, theirhis Aura pooling together with theirhis Energy before blasting forward, using theirhis Vital Mana to form a more hydrodynamic shape around theirhis body, aiming right for Luna's body, taking advantage of the fact that her Vessel was still regaining its energy and so it could not move to her defenses.

Luna let him near her undisturbed, wondering full of curiosity what exactly he was trying to do, considering the fact that she was freely able to pass through the water without encountering any resistance while Mark himself is being significantly slowed and weakened by needing to deal with the pressure of the poisoned water all around the two.

He neared her, barely reaching the range of her flesh-and-blood limbs.

The moment after Luna decided to just strike him down and end this apparently pointless charge once and for all, JouleMark finally actualized theirhis plan.

Light-Attribute flared from theirhis body, crossing the little distance between themhimself and the Lunarian, forming a spiraling spike that aimed on destroying the entire upper half of the white-haired one.

Red eyes widened briefly, her smile widened as she accepted the fact that it seemed that once more she underestimated her opponent.

Yet, as obvious as this fact was to her, another fact was revealed to Luna.

Her opponent was not the only one that is being looked down upon.

Before the wave of light could reach her, it crashed harmlessly against a wall of ice composed by the frozen Condemnation-Infused water, its origin point being clear in being the still immoble form of the Vessel upon the floor.

"Just because one doesn't move, it doesn't mean that one cannot move. What a foolish mistake." She teased, her eyes gleaming with a fatal light. "Now, [Maitreya]!"

Immediately after, the ice and the water around her boiled and the ice sublimated, exploding in a wave of steam as golden light was released from her body in a short burst directed thanks to her many limbs, light capable of not only instantly shattering the ice between the two of them, but also able and quite willing to shear apart the molecules and atoms forming it and the surrounding water, detonating in something similar to a directed, localized nuclear strike.

As could be only expected of a Spell launched with Astral ichor as fuel and formed using the combination of the five Attributes of Holy, Light, Air, Fire and Lightning.

Luna floated in place, her lips twisted in a slight pout as she beholded the effects of her elemental burst.

Not only was the integrity of her Domain itself damaged, her water even now struggling to fill the space her Spell struck, but Mark vanished into nothing, leaving behind only golden embers that soon burned out into nothing but heat.

Which, sure, if her strike had actually hit him this would be the result of her strike as it would have proved a critical if not fatal one even to Luna's herself.

Yet she was certain that her Spell failed in erasing her opponent for three very simple reasons, the first being that she was able to see a brief flash of light originating from the blonde, the second was the too tranquil behavior of the Spirit outside of the Domain and the final and most important one being that she harvested neither his Soul nor his Spirit.

Luna sighed, intensifying the presence of the Anti-Anti-Luna Effect in the Domain to destroy the radioactive particles now flooding it, taking advantage of its isolation from the outside World to start digesting any remains of Mark that still remained, fueling her new Growth Skill Everlasting Ascension.

Her eyes moved to said Flowing Spirit, her eyes piercing right through the darkness to meet the layer of opaque, vaguely crystal-like ice created by her Vessel that surrounded the limits of her Domain, a protective layer that interfered with Flux's efforts to control the water filling her Domain.

Her Domain collapsed back inwardly, the radiation having long since been dissolved into nothing and leaving behind only the wall of dull ice created by her [Ragnarök] Vessel, wall that she broke through at once using her brute force, taking control over the ice shards around her with her Will and sending them flying towards Flux at full speed.

The Flowing Spirit was forced to raise multiple water walls in the way, gradually slowing and then stopping the frozen projectiles before they could reach them, the improvised arrows falling harmlessly around the mass of water, protection that rapidly failed as Amber smashed back down with a swing of her Unique Arma, a trail of flames following her blow and detonating in a wave of fire that washed over the Spirit.

The falling Phoenix landed on her feet, her Aura condensing her flames around her right hand, flashing forward with an explosion that erupted from her feet, sending her flying towards her opponent in a blur.

Amber's hand smashed against the Spirit's body, erupting in a pulse of heat that evaporated their current body's left half entirely, forcefully creating an opportunity for Luna's Vessel to join the fight, a wordless roar emanating from it followed soon after by a wave of sheer cold that briefly froze over the mass of water, providing Luna with a final opening.

Opening that Luna did not hesitate to take, Astral Ichor accumulating around her left hand before erupting in a long, snake-like form that opened its maws wide before closing down around the Spirit, swallowing them whole in a single bite before diving back in the Lunarian's shadow, dragging them back under, followed soon after by the [Ragnarök] Avatar.

Luna closed her eyes, concentrating on the inside of her Soul, scowling briefly once she recognized that the Spirit left the temporary Vessel of Orichalcum behind the moment before her snake devoured them.

Clicking her tongue, the red-eyed one reabsorbed her Familiars at once, leaving behind an inanimate stone of ice and crystal that was soon devoured back into Energy to refuel her.

Luna immediately after turned her attention towards Sabel and Mafel, crossing the distance between the two in an instant, passing right through the wall of flames by covering herself in a thick layer of Astral Ichor, joining her Mate.

"How is she?" She asked, focused.

The grey-haired one nodded to herself, rising her own golden and purple eyes to meet the red ones. "I figured it out. Instead of being based against Anti-Magic, her Unique Skill is Anti-Skill. I just needed to share with her enough of my Vital Energy. She just needs a couple of minutes until she wakes up again." She confirmed, satisfied.

"Good. If this is all, I can help out more." Luna let out a small and much gentler smile then the ones she made before, sitting down at her side before posing one of her hands on her front, taking the Virtual Energy with matching nature as her Astral Ichor, produced by her newly-refined Unique Arma, and directing it to being absorbed by her black-haired Mate, hastening her Recovery even more.
