Chapter 92 - Chapter 91

664 10/11 2:57 (Autumn, Day, Midrar)

Mark carefully observed the cage they, mostly Grug to be completely honest, constructed around the Lunarian, sighing once before turning to the struggling Half-Dwarf, stopping himself from asking Lilze to connect the two of them by using her Unique Skill to help him handle the physical burden caused by his constant use of Mana.

He knew very well that this would be a terrible idea for a number of reasons, starting with the fact that this assistance would require Lilze moving to the two and touching them with the intent of connecting them; that type of connection is always equal and his own physique was much lesser when compared with his friend's, necessitating much more constant medical attention and the final reason being that, quite simply, once Luna escaped he could join the fight himself and help distract her long enough for the rest of his Party to recover him and bring him in a safe place to recover.

Upon seeing the strain upon his friend growing, he retrieved from his Storage Ring a Potion derived by studying the Undeads and Phoenix's ability of 'Resurrection' and forcefully pouring it down Grug's throat, the dense liquid rapidly evaporating to flood the Half-Dwarf's body with pure vitality, his cells going on overdrive and rapidly repairing all the damage he was suffering, his lips twisted in a disgusted expression.

Yet even despite the thickness of the Potion he drunk, Grug did not lose concentration from maintaining his cage, fact from which they needed to give thanks to their experimentation with the Potion's taste to make sure it would not be revolting enough to distract him, considering the intensity of the concentration of Vital Energy needed to create a consumable 'Resurrection'.

Mark frowned, calculating the time until Aler was done and how many other Potions he possessed and how many of them he would need to use considering the damage that Grug was constantly suffering, already preparing the next Potion.

Meanwhile Luna herself examined the walls surrounding her, manually taking control of the Black Blood she succeded in slipping throught the hole in the wall that fully repaired itself, briefly exploring the next layer of the prison, finding nothing in particular, while at the same time paying attention to breath carefully of the air within the cage.

With a soundless sigh she proceded to move forward with her plan, her own body moving towards one of the vertices of her cubic cell while her mass of Black Blood moved to just beyond the wall on the opposite vertice and then starting to emit glowing red gems, being careful not to press the volatile crystals directly against the wall.

Once they both arrived to their respective destination, bright pink flame patterned like a gem started to burn around her left hand while the air around her right one started to tremble and distort.

She soon attacked, a fireball of Solid Blaze flew true to meet the opposite vertice from herself while swinging her right hand almost as if wanting to form a line to separate the two of them.

The Earth-Attribute Vital Energy that obtained the Form of the Fire-Attribute ate in the wall, stubbornly clinging to it with the same tenacity normal to the Earth-Attribute and starting to erode the condensed rock, boring an hole into it that slowly expanded and deepened while before her body a wave of Vacuous Gale created a border empty of any air between the Lunarian and the rest of the section she found herself currently in.

The flames progressed throught the wall, drilling into it with single-mindend hunger, digging a hole in the stone until it soon reached the crystals, causing a detonation of Solid Blaze that filled the entirety of the room, destroying the wall that separated her from the next section in its entirety.

Luna emerged from the flames unscathed, the area around her safely isolated from the flames by the thin vacuum that she caused, the lack of air that separated the two zones allowing no passage to them and in so doing creating a straight-forward way for the Lunarian to launch herself past the second layer of her prison and right in the third one.

Her eyes explored the new layer, confirming her success in passing the second layer by the way that the Energy previously flowing in the wall of the second layer now reinforced the rest of the prison, increasing its sturdiness even more as she examined her new cell, the three and a half meters wide room she now found herself in.

Her senses explored her newest layer, scowling when she felt it to be more or less the same as the previous ones, sighing before turning her crimson eyes to the pink flames that even now were trying to devour the ground and failing at that, caused both by the greater volume involved and increased density of the cubes.

Her feet waded through the flames, feeling the slight resistance to her movement caused by the thickness of the flames that almost seemed to almost grab onto her feet, trying to consume her yet now that they weren't fueled by the immense destructive release of a great mass of Blaze Gems, they were unable to affect her as even with the reduced amount of Aura she currently had access to, it was more than enough for her to comfortably pass it.

"As expected of a mix of Earth- and Fire-Attribute." She thought aloud, her eyes observing the flames that even now clinged to her in their attempt to devour her. "A stubborn hunger that would not allow a meal to escape its fangs. Unfortunately for you, however, I am not your prey."

Her eyes flashed, illuminating briefly the room, before her Aura and Vital Mana mixed together and rained down upon her temporary cell, drowning the flames entirely under an overwhelming wave of power, reducing them to mere embers that soon went out, the light disappearing with them and leaving the cube's inside once more in darkness.

"As I thought, multiple layers. Considering the proportions of the boost that it recieved after its increase in Mana -" She launched an harsh punch against one of her new walls, measuring the effect. "- without a doubt, at least another two layers. It's time to speed up then."

Her layer of Hollow Jewels briefly manifested itself around the Lunarian's body. "I cannot use the Energy stored in here directly, I can only decide to detonate it all at once. Ah, well, it's not like this is particularly hard to compensate for."

A long, crystalline mass formed around her left hand, gently rising in a transparent pillar that started to glow with an inner light all of its own, the Energy stored within the layer of crystals around her immediately passing to within the new crystal growth.

Grabbing it firmly, Luna almost crushed the crystals in her grip, the fingers of her right hand submerging in the luminous gem to meet the warmth and pressure at its core, grasping it firmly and then connecting herself with it, carefully passing the Energy through her body and into her left hand.

Sparks of electricity surrounded her limb, their light coloration rendering clear that its Substance was Air-Attribute, the Lunarian pointing her hand to the sky and unleashing it, freeing it to rampage and rain down upon the entirety of the cell in long strings of lightning-like blades that pierced the rock.

Her red eyes and vast Senses measured the strenght of the lightning she unleashed, sighing upon being able to confirm the difference between her Altered and Composite Attribute. "In my situation, the former is much more effective." She asserted aloud.

"At equal Affinity the latter is more efficient. In my case, however, while the Affinity involved theorically should be the case, in truth when it comes for my Affinity towards the Attribute they are stuck to 100% considering how I don't have any Skill that increase the maximum of my Affinities beyond the natural maximum, value that I have long since surpassed in No Attribute Affinity thanks to my Singularity."

Stretching slightly, the white-haired one indifferently released a second, a third and then a fourth rain of lightning bolts, some a bright red, some a dark gold and the final group being an intense yet almost liquid-like scarlet.

The cell was quickly filled entirely with light, the hard stone shattering repeatedly again and again, dust and rock fragments falling down around the Lunarian, her body protected and safeguarded by a layer of Hollow Jewels that forced her to stay still, absorbing the lightning bolts that fell upon her, being Channeled to the crystal mass and then to fuel the lightning itself again.

The crystal started to tremble and vibrate, cracks expanding upon both its surface and depths at once, the constant Channeling of power straining it ever more until it destabilized completely, dissolving into a fine layer of crystal dust.

Luna nodded, satisfied by the effects her Composite Attributes had on the walls around her, noticing the destructive power of her Terran Lightning, the cutting power contained within her Wuthering Thunder, the incredible heat contained within her Ardent Lightning and finally the Potency of the Ichor Flash derived by turning her Black Blood itself into the Lightning-Attribute.
