Nan Sichen sat by her bed, looking at her, reaching out to wipe the sweat off her face. Qin Yin silently extended her hand, brushing against his handsome brows and eyes, gently tracing them. She asked again, "Nan Sichen, do you really not know why my mom jumped off the building?"
"I don't know," Nan Sichen answered firmly.
"Oh." Qin Yin seemed to catch her breath and asked while looking at him, "Why aren't you sleeping? Your hands are so cold."
She held his hand, gently rubbing it.
"Just thinking about some things."
"What things?"
"Work-related stuff."
"You've made such a mess of the company lately," Qin Yin blinked and asked.
"Hmm?" Nan Sichen looked at her, unable to accept the term 'mess' she used.
"I heard you've fired a lot of the old staff at the company. Why? What did they do wrong?"
