I didn't even open the thing and threw it in my inventory.

1. I didn't feel like getting blown up if the things was boobytrapped
2. I did not see an outcome were opening up a magical chest that looked important in a dark attic isn't a bad idea. It could release a dragon that was Reality Bended to be miniterized but grow after the chest was opened or with something similar.
3.What are the chances that some spirit or ghost of whoever is the owner of this thing died and is now haunting the house. And will go off on some spooky tangent about how I disturbed its resting place or whatever the fuck.
4.I have read enough fucking field reports to know not to do dumb shit in an obviously evil house.
And when I met up with the Plague Doctor and was leaving througb the Way I heard on thing.
"Dammmmmmiiiiiiiiiiiit." I heard a fucking sterotypical ghost voice say.Take that you wanker, go back to Labrador Ghost you cartoon quality failure. These were my last thoughts before me and the Plague Doctor were transported via the Way to the Library.
The Plague Doctor looked at me and asked. "What was that voice?" to which I replied, "The ghost that was haunting the house."
The Plague Doctor looked at me….panicked? And exclaimed "my good sir it is getting worse the "Pestilence is growing stronger. I must double my efforts to combat this foe."
"Do not fret as if this works as intended the Pancea will cure any disease." I reassured the Doctor
As I proccured the chest and warned the library of its potential dangers through my connection to it through the Way it responded with assurance. I then unhooked the latches and found inside a glowing white ball with whisps of energy flowing into and out of it situated upon a rather fancy red pillow that I took out a well to add to my bed.
The Plague Doctor watching this glowing ball said." Sir what scientific marvel have you proccured, it is the invention of the lightbulb all over again. Do tell what its use is though."
I honestly replied with, "It is a means of detecting your esoteric nature. A way to tell what ways of Reality Bending you may excell at."
The Plague Doctor asked...… hopefully? "May I?" I proceeded to hand it over though was ready to catch it with my coat if he fails to keep it in his hand.
And was proven right as he touched the ball it lit a White Flame. I absentmindedlly caught the ball with my coat as I commented "interesting as expected you gravitate towards purification. But also in the art of using on persons life to fuel another known as fleshcrafting."
The Doctor quite pleased with the first statement slightly faltered at the last before coming to a conclusion. "This is perfect I may still be able to save those not infected by the Pestilence by using the lives of those doomed."
As I went to pick up the orb and attune to my own affinitys my connection to the Library informed me of its excitement. And to my suprise started outpouring loads of energy as my Mask,Pocketwatch,Gloves and Trenchcoat all started slowly emmiting a golden light. And at the same time burning me as I willed my Mask off, quickly threw off my Trenchcoat onto the nearest table, carefully yet hurriedly placed my Pocketwatch atop my Trenchcoat and shook my gloves off I rubbed my hands in pain.
And then it all stopped. The Doctor suddenly halted his ramblings and I felt myself change.

Timekeepers Pocket-watch)
The Timekeepers were tasked with watching over the realm. Unfortunately they were hunter down and killed to the last survivor. Some say their downfall was arrogance and how they had lived since the beginning of time itself. Others say it happened because of a Civil War that started when Timekeepers grew attached to the different species of the universe and wanted to enable their growth. In the end though they are an extinct people with only a remnant of their power on the objects they held

The Timekeepers-Pocketwatch previously put into a sleep like state due to inaction has been reawoken due to the user coming fully in tune with their Time Affinity and influence from the Wanderers Library.

My pocketwatch had a bright golden light emmiting from its entire surface as it continued burning up even melting the metal it was made of until.

It was then the Pocket Watch was reformed. It had lost its blandness, decorated with the wanderers library Crest atop it. It was now a dark green, with golden accents going around the edge of the pocketwatch.
As I felt the smoothness my Trenchcoat started glowing brighter.

Previously infused with the soul of a brave soldier who gave their life for what they thought was right. Now it has been infused via the Wanderers Library's influence the concept of Infinity.

After watching my coats propertys change its appearence had as well. Having previously been a standard red junior officer Trenchcoat it had now turned a Dark Green just like the pocketwatch, and had put its golden luster around the edges of the cuffs, top of the collar and bottom of the lapel. It had also decided to put a hood onto it for what reason I do not know. Though it hadn't felt the need to add its logo anywhere, and noticably the buttons on the trenchcoat seemed a brighter golden colour.
The next to glow to blinding proportion was my (Generals Gloves).

During the Revolutionary War this general had the courage and strategic mind to lead his troops into what would be called losing or suicidal battles. Paired along with the generals innate ability to grow moral they were a force to be reckoned with.and still be able to inspire them. A part of his luck,genius and charisma still resides within these glove

As expected the gloves changed, but not in a way I had expected. They had stayed the same brownish red but had become scaly and noticably tougher. I also noticed how they seem to follow my hand movement never actually limiting my mobility.
Last but not least my mask had started glowing too. Though it seemed to be taking the longest to change.

A mask previously worn by the leader of a powerful group of spectres. This masks innate power has been overcome by the concept of Infinity. Taking advantage to its connection to everything the Library had the previous owner of the mask powers drained through countless timelines. Donating its power into the now altered form.
A mask that in its passive state no one can see and will automatically protect any attacks against the users head due to exerting their will on the object
———> A mask that all people can see with golden glowing eye holes that increase awarness when seen through. When denizens of the Wanderers Library are nearby they fundementaly understand that you are the Librays Chosen.
In its active state it will blur the user to others as if they were a shadowy figure who people struggle to perceive. If seen through it will constantly shift your appearance to believable but random people
———> In its active state the user will be inveloped in a golden shroud that causes people to ignore them. If seen past this ability they will instead see a golden glowing ethereal figure.

Im not sure if I'm supposed to be happy or mad that I just basiclly got branded. But considering how much time I've been spending in the Library and the connection I share to it through the Way it makes sense.
As expected the mask underwent a transformation and was now a pure gold rounded mask with the flaps folded down making the outer edge an octagon with eye holes that moved towards wherever I was looking.
After my inspection I could Feel Time itself resuming. And as it did the Doctor resumed his ramblings , but noticed I wasn't in my prvious spot. After looking around he noticed me standing above all my items looking down at them. As he walked over towards me he paused.
"Good sir I could have sworn that your trenchcoat was previously red. And what a magnificient watch, such a unique pattern. I haven't one of those in hundreds of years." The Doctor said as he started seemlessly reminiscing.
As I put on my new equitment I noticed how comftorable it felt. The second thing I noticed was that the increased awarness trait on the mask was not a joke I could see 290 degrees around me. The Library sensing my want to see myself conjured up a mirror. And boy did I look snazzy, green does go well with gold.l
