If one wants to achieve Deityhood, they must rely on their own strength to defeat those plants. Moreover, after defeating those plants, there is a possibility that they might revive. Facing such opponents who seem impossible to kill, one can only imagine what those Deities were thinking at that time.
If it weren't for the overwhelming temptation of Deityhood, it's likely that given the situation at that time, those Deities might have been scared off by that group of plants. After all, their performance was truly beyond speech; facing such undying opponents would undoubtedly make anyone feel a headache!
