After enduring a grueling three days, the nurse said family members could video call the patients.
The Wilsons all came, and Viola Harris thought she would see the child who could eat and drink, simply missing his parents, but instead a child appeared on the screen, lying on the hospital bed, wearing an oxygen tube, with tubes and wires all over his body, surrounded by operating machines.

Viola Harris felt a pang in her nose, tears fell, Mrs. Wilson and Melody Sheffield sobbed quietly, and even Edmund Wilson, a seasoned man in his fifties or sixties, couldn't help but have reddened rims.
"Nick, Nick..." Viola Harris grabbed the microphone, calling out continuously, but Nick was like a puppet, unresponsive. Viola turned to the nurse and asked, "Why isn't he answering me?"
