Owen Moreland kissed her lips again, his voice gentle yet firm with assurance, "I trust my own judgment."
Amelia Clarke smiled, hooking her arms around his neck, "Congratulations Mr. Moreland, your judgment is excellent."
After bathing and getting into bed, Amelia, as usual, snuggled into Owen's arms, her hand gliding over the man's chest towards his waist. Her fingertips touched the waistband of the man's pajamas, giving it a light flick.
Owen held her hand.
Amelia noticed his resistance, looked up at him with eyes full of confusion, "What's wrong?"
It seemed like... well, they hadn't done that for a while.
"Don't you want to?"
The master bedroom's light was off, engulfed in darkness, with only a faint light coming from the window. Amelia couldn't see Owen's expression clearly.
Owen took the little hand that was reaching into his pants and pressed it against his heart, bowing his head to kiss Amelia's hairline, his voice deep and magnetic, "Let's sleep."
