Evelyn Taylor was once again amused by Thomas Smith's twisted logic.
"According to you, Olivia becomes my daughter, enjoys the good life of the Smith Family for thirty years instead of my own daughter, and she's still a great benefactor to us?"
She crossed her arms in front of her, her gaze sharp and cold as she looked at Thomas Smith's indifferent face and continued:
"The Smith Family did indeed swap the kids by mistake back then, which was our fault, but the Smith Family hasn't treated her unfairly. Thomas, please understand, I don't lack a daughter, and Olivia being my daughter isn't that much of a favor to me. So, I solemnly tell you, Thomas, don't talk to me about the bond of these thirty years."
Thomas Smith was never good at talking; the things he said were those he deemed reasonable, self-assured and irrefutable.
But now, Evelyn's words left him unable to retort, his face flushed red.
