Her face turned anxious as she looked at the boy's indifferent expression and tentatively spoke:
"So... do you have anything else you need me to do?"
The boy looked up at her, sneered, and a hint of determination flashed in his eyes, "No need! I don't need someone who isn't loyal to me continuing to work under me."
His thin lips curled up, his deep pupils locked onto Chloe Turner's pale face, "You make me feel unsafe."
The light that originally lingered in Chloe Turner's eyes dimmed once more. Seeing the undeniable determination in his eyes, she knew very well that the boy was not just trying to scare her but was genuinely dismissing her.
She slumped to the ground, seemingly more composed now compared to her initial pleas.
To her, death was not even more terrifying or unacceptable than being dismissed by the boy.
"Boss, I don't know what I did wrong, why are you forcing me like this?"
All along, she knew this boy was cold-hearted, yet not unreasonable.
