Why is it strange?

This realization excited Bai Ruozhu, yet made her a bit sad. Yizi wasn't that much younger than her, but Yizi had a simple and somewhat childlike demeanor, causing Bai Ruozhu to treat her like a little sister or even a daughter.
Now, the daughter had grown up, was thinking about marriage, and as a mother-like figure, she was both happy and a bit melancholy.
