"Now, close your eyes!" The two little ones closed their eyes, and she dimmed the lights, beginning to tell them a story, "Today, I'll tell you a story about when Mommy and Uncle went camping in the forest as kids. It was supposed to be a nice day, but then it suddenly started raining..."
The two little ones fell asleep while listening.
Ivana Bennett stopped narrating, turned off the light, got up, and left the room.
She hadn't been home for a long time and wanted to spend time with her mom.
Summer Gardner was not in the living room, and Ivana Bennett heard sounds from the kitchen. Just as she was about to head inside to find her, there was a knock on the door.
"Coming!"
She hurriedly walked over and opened the door, only to see Cold Bennett standing outside in wrinkled shirt and pants.
"Shh!" Seeing her, Cold Bennett immediately raised a finger to signal her not to make a sound, "I'll change clothes first."
If Summer Gardner saw him like this, she'd definitely get worried.
